Best anime of all time is resuming .. I hope it will run for atleast another 202 episodes before going on a break or whatever. I don't really get it though, didn't it go on a break because there wasn't enough material ? With anime like this, they could have just done '' fillers '' and it would have still been enjoyable :S

and some of them were pretty funny

Yeah but just a few. A lot of fillers will be crap and require imaginations that's why they stopped Gintama to avoid the long fillers route.

I just got this news. So happy that the anime is continuing finally. I'm pretty sure that there was a confidence that the previous ending was only temporary, however it feels good to get some confirmation.

The manga has been a great read, but I have always enjoyed watching the anime for this more overall surprisingly enough.

Depends on the anime I think. I think even fillers would have been enjoyable. I can't even tell what were fillers and what not in Gintama as I've not read the manga. Does it matter if the story comes from manga or not, the whole story of Gintama basically consists of Yorozuya doing jobs, what difference it makes if the job is adaptation of the manga or an original ?

Gintama did air with 720p as well...

I'm hoping for widescreen. Back when it was still airing, Gintama was the only series I watched that still aired in 4:3. They even made fun of it during the Otssu fanclub arc.
