Well I guess I can stop reading the manga. Decent series from what I read.

You'll be glad to hear that this particular story is devoid of that kind of pointless shit.

No shiping wars? hmm... I'm not familiar with the work but the introduction of new sets of girls appearing in front of the MC is set for harem setting. I don't like much harem. So I can't say if its good or bad but generally, I like the author's previews work. So I will be watching out for it.

Just Because wasn't that bad. It's just that it handled things too "realistically" so the entire story felt like nothing important had happened.

Anyway, Kunagisa is lauding the story, so it should be decent.

In all honesty, I was one of the few people that loved Just Because. Haters can hate over that and I don't care . In fact I preferred it over even Tsuki ga Kirei, though I really liked that one too. It's a miracle that there were two great seinen romance/dramas in a single year (catered to me), given it usually is only one every couple of years (last one was White Album 2).

I can't say the same for Sakurasou though... that one reminded me too much of Toradora and I have very mixed opinions on both.

Was Just Because categorized as seinen? Not aware of that.

As for Toradora, looking back at it, there are some developments I didn't like.
Spoiler for Toradora:

I haven't also watched Sakurasou, but based on Just Because, I feel that Kamoshida is capable of doing plot movements that aren't too dramatic. However, based on Kuna's impressions, looks like Seishun Buta is Kamoshida dialing back the drama to Sakurasou levels.

I LOVED that scene in Toradora. The brakes came off, two people who politely loathed each other just went for it all-out because reasons. It's one of my personal favourite fight scenes in all anime because it's so honest about their mutual anger. No posing, no pretence, just scream and leap, crash and bang action. Taiga's school-mandated letter of apology (a postcard, actually) at the end of the episode still makes me laugh out loud.

_Seishun Buta Yarou_ as an anime, I'm not sure about. It's got some things going for it -- for one thing the male lead isn't a dick wrt females and his smart mouth is a joy to behold, very honest. I'm not sure the core conceit of the story can adapt well to anime though. I'll certainly give it a chance though.

No, it's anime original, not manga adaptation.
