Not at all. There's nothing objectionable in the poster. GO FOR IT.
Do not be ashamed of your fandom! Quote:
From my experiences, it's more Anime=Pokemon=stuff for kids and geeks="Oh you're into that stuff? So is my son/daughter/niece/nephew" Quote:
Not much. Here's a laugh: I live in Pittsburgh and compare Steelers fans to anime fans....and I can tell you in a heartbeat which group acts more "normal".

I've got a pile of Madoka, K-ON, Working, Ore no Imouto and Zelda posters/tapestries in my room (soon to add iDOLM@STER). The big jump's putting up the first one. Once you realize that people don't exactly care enough to press what it is, putting up more and more gets easier.
Don't worry, even if people are judgmental, it's very easy to play off. It's best if you value your own interests over what others say you should like, but in times of trouble it's easy to get them to just not care.

Serious answer, be yourself TS. If people give you crap than to hell with them. But someone will probably give you crap eventually.

What.
There's much worse that anyone could advertise in their room. But most of all, I do seriously wonder why some anime fans act like they need approval from people outside of their fandom. Who cares if the uninitiated find it strange? Besides, it's pretty telling if someone judges you for what you like instead of who you are.

Technically Holo (Horo means whore in finnish) has a bit weird face in that poster. I wouldn't use it because of that.
People should do what they like to maintain their good mood better. Many things are and were weird for many people, but they become normal when repeated enough with higher and higher support. Some people seems to require social support before they can accept some things.

It's just a piece of art. Who's to say which type of art is "weird"?

While I agree with those who says you should just decorate your room however you like, I think this is really the wrong forum to ask whether an anime poster will be perceived as "weird" or "acceptable" by some random person, if that's what you care about.
We are all anime fan here, there's no way we can see that image as something weird. And we can't really imagine how a non anime fan would react without applying our biases.
