Overall they haven't been bad (fonts, subtitles, karaoke, etc) but I just prefer the translation choices made by qq's translator/editor for the most part.

yeah... I actually went in and changed that dreadful line (along with a few other things) in my copy of the files. ... like I said, for the most part. The weird thing is that Taiga's extended version of "itadakimasu" in ep 1 was translated pretty well.
If you read the translator's blog on the translation effort - he puts a fair amount of research into rather than just speedzipping it. I've started getting into the habit of just fixing translation choices I don't like, so softsubs are becoming more my favorite.

Softsubs take up too much of my data space.
I'll probably download the qq/gg batch torrent, though, when the show is over. Their subs seem a bit more... professional than CoalGuys. By the way, thanks for the rep increase. Two green dots woo. |
