Well, boys tend to be immature and denser in such matters compared to girls at that age. Making a move on a popular girl in middle school would take a lot of guts. Especially an outspoken intimidating girl like Shizuka.

As for the tea ceremony club, I think given the activity they all have to be prim and proper to some degree. On the other hand, I don't think they're actually anti-social. They just despise Godou's harem-building ways as any normal modern member of society would.

While reading vol 12 in Chinese, I noticed something interesting...

Generally, in all the volumes before, whenever one of his harem tells Godou to go confront and kill a heretic god, Godou's always does his fake pacifism denial and tries to resolve it without fighting if possible...

In vol 12, when Lou Hao tells him something along the lines of "a heretic god is heading your way, so just beat him up", Godou's reply was something along the line if "sure, will do"...

It's an interesting contrast... I'm wondering if it's Lou Hao (she does have an incredibly imperious presence/attitude), if he's just more susceptible to women he views as family (which isn't exactly unlikely either, given Shizuku), or if he's finally accepting the fact that he is a campione and fighting and killing gods is natural for him...

Personally, I'm betting on the second possibility, with the first coming in second, with the third in last position.

Of course, it's also quite possible that I misread something or missed some details and it's not quite like that... Either way, some food for thought...

I don't like to spoil anything else since it ruins the mystery-like developments of Vol12. Although I guess you can say most of the mystery is already gone since the god's name has been revealed.
