Reeks of how ADV got themselves in financial trouble, licensing shows without looking into them.

At least the studio has not even bother to tone down their script, even with all this heat.

This anime definitely raising the bar in adaptations. Ep4... that lilim ramming her crotch against the glass is marvelous.

Funimation should bring back Vic Mignogna to voice one of the characters in this anime just for the reaction alone.

Noice, love how true they stay to the spirit of the series. Although the low rank Succubus were a bit cuter than in the manga they were just as depraved and perverted as in the original, nearly killing our heroes. XD
The Salamander Onee-chan was really hot though, no pun intended, dang Crim is a lucky boy/girl. <3

They're not low-class succubus, they're low-class sex/lust demons. Succubus is a higher class of demons and a separate race from these things.

Also, to Beta, I somewhat doubt the fact that the majority of the girls are prostitutes had much to do with the decision to cancel. Particularly considering the fact that in this story prostitution is not presented as an illegal underground service more often than not performed either by women who believe they can't make a living any other way or by women who're barely more than slaves. It's a legitimate business with government oversight and everything, in which the ladies in question chose to do this as a profession (I mean just look at the lilim, they actually PAID to be part of their "store").

It doesn't change the fact that in a conservative group like a large majority of the NA, it's hearsay all the same.

You can't reason with social conditioning, no matter what logic you bring to the table.

That's why Funimation axed it mighty quick. They wanted to get ahead of it as quick as and brutally efficient as possible.

Maybe this is good as this might get it more online attention? As in "damn, if it is that raunchy that they remove it, I wanna see it myself now".

Again, did anyone actually research the series before they licensed it?

The anime went above and beyond original. That and the mangaka wasn't the most artistic himself.

Again, anime only "extra scenes" were censored (with a black screen, not even with black/white bars) by Funimation (they even censored the dub) so it made no difference whatsoever.

Again, the mangaka is a she.

Maybe so, but what were they expecting in a show literally about reviewing monster girls in brothels?

They aren't getting their money back for this, so they least they could do was screen the episodes in advanced at least.

Even better, if I could give money directly to her for her work, I would.

It certainly does. MAL is going absolutely crazy right now.

Censored doesn’t make it go away. Those kind of logic only work on those that have accepted this type of material.

Conservative people will not care if there black bars or scripted backstories.

The anime is graphic beyond the original by many layers above what PR deemed tolerable.

It does when the whole screen is black, not only you did not read what I wrote, but you did not saw the episode.

There was NO backlash for this series from any identifiable group, you are talking nonsense.

Yes I seen the episodes, both censored and uncensored. It's only goes black on certain frames, it's still graphically over most anime of the fanservice genre.

And yes there's been backlash, it's already been labeled and tracking as porn(uncensored version) by porn streamers themselves.

All you're doing is preaching to the choir, just like nothing convinces you, nothing will convince this series of being wholesome, and safe, and just fan-service level.

Was it the right thing to do to pull Ishuzoku Reviewers Anime? Who knows
Was it the Adult thing to do to pull Ishuzoku Reviewers Anime? Definitely.

The moment we saw episode 2+, everyone knew it was going to be radioactive. It's that graphic. We may love it, but it doesn't change the standards and societal rejection it faces.

Funimation, and parent Sony, wouldn't be caught in the same country as being labeled a porn distributor.

where is getting "that rejection youa re claim, can link it please?, because it's the second best anime all times i my anime list and a sucess in japan, ok "now if puritans are going rage" i'm still not seeying it.

all i really seeying is actually the "funimation getting a back slash with peoples canceling they sub because of it.
