I would say it's more likely that they'll try to blend multiple paths so that they can explore more side-characters, or have different decisions lead to different consequences. That way they can get the good scenes out of multiple game paths, rather than faithfully animating just one of them, even if they go back to one path in particular for the end. That's quite often what happens in these anime adaptations anyway, so when they say "anime original story", that's sort of what I'm thinking they mean. Who knows, though...

Maybe they could create their own ending or just put the ending where both of them got pregnent

whether it'll be a gore or a pregnent one, it would still be a first.

Or they could do a Canvas2 ending and out of nowhere Setsuna wins.

I would like for the gore to stay, but I highly dout it. Maybe one of the girls pulling a Kaede (Kotonoha likely) is most likely what we'll get.

yeah for all you people that think that this will have a gore ending don't get you hope up the way it goes this will involve a lot of drama but blood yeah don't think so with the exception of Elfen Lied i can't of any other like that but maybe a Kaede moment i don't doubt that

can't agree with you more... Don't understand why everyone here is soo blood thirsty.. I would be pretty satisfied with a normal but touching ending rather than the violent ending.

Just because one of the highlights of the game was the violence, i would much prefer a sort of KGNEish sort of ending...

well..the gore ending indeed is sort of interesting but i prefer the ending where sekai kotonoha both got pregnent and decide to tell the boy during christmas or christmas eve ending with Kotonoha

Actually, what they are implying in 二人の恋人 is that they both agree to have a contest to see who will get pregnant first to seal the deal with Makoto and thus will start a night long of orgy after they arrive at Makoto's as a Christmas Gift to him as well as to start the race.

See, and suffice it to say, they probably won't show or imply that on network TV, even if it is past midnight.

and personally i would not like to see a gore ending with these type of characters that don't appear to be one to get sadistic on somebody like i said before going Kaede and screaming and yelling and saying harsh things would be the most appropriate and i believe they will go that rought with drama and romance not horror

I read that the game is infamous for its bad endings. Wonder if this would have gruesome violence in it or maybe just plain school life kind of anime?

Well, the announcement is a tad bit early, but the timing of the DVD release is perfectly consistent with the usual pattern. It's usually around three months after the first airdate. So yeah -- that's a normal announcement.
