I don't know what to make of this. Just leaving it here.
Just more fuel for my conspiracy theory that KyoAni is secretly funded by the Japan's Tourism Board. Hence why they can afford to blow money on rendering 3D marbles.

Marbles.

Cheers.

Something that came to me: I can't imagine Houtarou engaging in "activities" with Eru. He's simply too energy conserving to do that. Basically, any doujinshi involving Houtarou seems too OOC.

Nonsense, it fits perfectly as comedy.

She'll have to... if Houtarou turns out to be the Minuteman.

Heh.

The original thought came up when I was reading the doujinshi "Hyouka" (評価), where the resident fujoshi (Mayaka) draws up a doujinshi of Houtarou making Eru his sex slave, which Satoshi finds out about. You also see that Mayaka made a yaoi doujinshi (Houtarou x Satoshi) and a masturbatory work (Mayaka x Satoshi).

But as it turned out, all the while Eru WAS riding Houtarou..... Bareback, none the less.....

I'm someone who has some interest in Hyouka. You guys gotta sell the series on me. Okay, I enjoy most any anime I watch, but I'd like to know, what makes Hyouka a good series, and what can I expect from it? Tell me what genres it fits and other things I can expect from it. Why should I check out Hyouka?

Character introspection.

Cheers.

What I think Hyouka does best is character interactions and development. In a sense, the story focuses on that moreso than the actual mysteries that the Classics Club tries to solve. It's called a mystery, but it's not like other mystery shows where they have to solve a case involving a dead body. The mysteries are more about things you wonder about during the day or during your free time.

One avenue the show succeeds greatly on is the development of the main male lead Houtarou Oreki. Throughout the show, he's gradually changed to become somewhat different than he was at the beginning. It's nothing drastic, but it's still noticable.

Personally, I also love the color palette, BGM, and sensation from the show. It's very earthy without being too bright. To me, it really fits the atmosphere.

Alright, I'll give it a shot. The two girls I've seen from it seem pretty cute and likable, too.

Mayaka's eyes are as fascinating as Eru's eyes.

Indeed! Sign me up as another member of the Mayaka fanclub. I've grown really found of her character during the festival arc.

I just thought of something: the show as a whole is about thinking of mysteries as everyday puzzles, right? This time Oreki got to be the one to write the mystery rather than solve it by giving hints to the others. Clever.
