BTW, do we even know what her Shikai does? Why did she immediately went Bankai without explaining her Shikai first? It's a logical thing, but so untypical for Shounen.
Wasn't her shikai a flying healing monster?

Yes, her shikai was that manta ray thing. The stomach acids were healing ointments and healed whoever it swallowed. Also the shikai and bankai names appear to be the exact same.

I'm still kind of miffed if she dies we never learned the release command.

Also, a better translation with cleaner images are now up.

Ahem... sorry for interrupting but I would like to know what has become of this anime/manga? I stopped watching the anime all together after Aizen was defeated and sent to prison. Why is this anime no longer under the Current Series forum?

Is it worth coming back to this anime after the hueco mundo arc?

Thanks.

Bleach (the anime) has ended.

The manga is currently in the Soul King arc.

(I would say just leave it dropped)

Is the rest of the anime any good? The hueco mundo arc was a little weak but it had its moments.

If you do, be prepared to become very, VERY disappointed and disillusioned.

Because Kubo shits all over this pretty much after Aizen gets defeated, starting with the Fullbringer arc. This arc with the Quincies has been 60/50 with Kubo basically making everyone seriously dumb (Yama, Nii and just about every single Shinigami. Even Urahara got a case of the STOOPIDS. ANd of course that Ichigo

) and some good parts (Royal Guard history, Uno and Kenny's backstory, we finally see the Soul King!)

As for the anime, I believe there's a filler arc before it gets into the Fullbringer/Lost Agent arc, which is what the anime ended on.

if you haven't seen the end of the arrancar saga with the gin and aizen fights, i recommend that. beyond those episodes i would say don't bother

Thanks for the input. I'll steer clear of this series then.

Thank you

There is a doubt I was having. Remember in the last Ichigo vs Grimmjow fight when the Espada said that Orihime somehow changed? Later in Ichigo vs Ulquiorra the Espada also tells Ichigo that Aizen made something to Orihime. When Orihime defends Ichigo, Ulquiorra tries to point out something weird about her but Ichigo interrupts him. Did we ever learn what was wrong with Orihime?

With Grimmjow back into the picture, maybe we'll find out soon...assuming Kubo hasn't overlooked it, as he always does....

i hope we find out before the series ends. i was always under the impression that she was hollowified somehow, but since we never saw it in the arrancar arc then it could be anything at this point to suit the story. maybe aizen was testing out some quincy abilities on her lol

yea i hope so, but it's been so long it feels overlooked. regardless of whether kubo explains it or not, he holds onto these mysteries way too long. to the point that i stop caring

I feel this might get quietly swept under the rug. Possibly along with whatever was in Szyael's lab that Mayuri found so interesting. But GJ's comment about Orihime was so vague, I'm not sure if it really meant anything at all.

At this point, I seriously doubt that Kubo is ever going to do half of the shit that he promised to do in that interview he did before the start of the arc in which, besides the Quincy stuff:

1. Whatever the deal with Isshin/Ryuuken is

2. Matsumoto was supposed to tie into this somehow.

3. Urahara/Yoruichi's backstory

But then again, he did say he was going to show Unohana with her hair down........or something.

Well we do have backstory on them, unless we're talking prior to being captains, which would be backstory to the backstory or somesuch.

Sounds like a fake. Anime series are promoted months before they start airing and we are already in February.

Wouldn't make much sense to bring it back so soon, manga is not that far away anyway.
