Wasn't Al Hazared where the genie's lamp was from? I mean in the actual story, not the disney thing. I'm very sure it has some connection to a place in middleeastern mythology. I'm remembering something about a dude with snakes for hands or something like that. Darnit, my memory is shot. And google turns up a bazillion hits which may or may not be retared, even more if you count the different ways it can be spelt.

'Alhazrad' is the name of the Necronomicon's author in Lovecraft's stories. Al-Hazared is an alternate spelling. But that's not 'real' mythology as academics use the word...
That's the problem with using the internet for these searches; fictional uses of a name swamp the historical and literary... not to mention the people who can't spell 'hazard' correctly. If it wasn't so cold I'd head over to the library to check it out... maybe tomorrow. Edit: Okay I went through pantheon.org and they don't have anything on it so I'm guessing it's not of mythological origin.

Of course, we don't really know how ubiquitous the TSAB is and to what degree it is synonymous with Midchildan government and culture, but it seems pretty high so I'd guess that the Church is distinct from them.

Yo, Darko. Welcome to the boards and long time no see. In that I think we've never seen each other before. And I know how you feel about "unimportant" Yoshida. I'd remember that rack... er... smile anywhere.
Anyhow, until an official word is given (which it hasn't been yet) I'm gonna hope for January. A's release date was a suprise in that it came half a month earlier than the official word at the time said it would. Hopefully the extra months gave them lots of time to prepare for StrikerS. Xellos - Yeah. Remember though that Nanoha fans are not only rabbid, we're starving. So unlike stuff like Typemoon which has a much more rabbid, much bigger fanbase, our's is just kind of backed into a corner, ready to devour the tiniest snippits of information in a furious feeding frenzy. We band together because that is what our white-clad leader teaches us to do when dark times loom. |

Only with magic! ----- Yeah, basically the site says they'll be giving us more info (hopefully an actual promo) at winter comiket which I believe is sometime in mod-late December. |
