angels can move stars but that's an arch angel and no ordinary angel. I don't see anyone below fiamma pulling that kind of stunt. Even fiamma before the alignment is complete can't do it. That's why he needs an archangel to do it.

Well, for one thing, GRB's are usually linear. They don't explode in a 360 degree area. So one being in the nearest star system won't necessarily hit us.
But yes, the ray would melt our planet.

matter and energy are technically the same, but thats for another time... Dark matter changes anything it touches including light energy. [Odin's throne] on the other hand simply converts the users magic into something else.

X-ray and the likes on the other hand, its a matter of either you curing cancer, or giving cancer. Quote:

You mentioned insta-kill before but if said ability can be controlled precisely, would a specific frequency of X-Rays be able to put a person into a desired state of cancer? For example the state before the person dies which I assume is the most painful one. Quote:

I know we probably don't have alot of mecha fans watching Index, but maybe this could spark some interest...
Academy City Deterrence Policy "We destroy your house, crush your car, and burn down your city... But hey, at least you're still alive, right ?" Power Suits Spoiler for Large Weapon aka "Resistance is Futile":
Supersonic Stealth Bombers Spoiler for HsB-02 aka "Slash and Burn":

Railgun's suit gave the impression of them being slow and bulky. According to Tsuchimikado, the ones they deployed in France have insane mobility and balance, so much that they outperform a human doing the same movements. That is some crazy technology right there

But that's also the crazy thing about the Power Suits used in France- To be able to move even just as good as a human being despite it's bulky size has to be some technological achievement. I don't think the machines of our world have yet replicate the human body.

Anyway Yes, some guy had parts of a power suit implanted into his body for superhuman physical performance. If you're talking about automails like for Fulmetal Alchemist, they have prosthetic parts.
