As for Bakemonogatari? They couldn't even air the "true ending" on time. It was delayed for months.

This is what happens when the studio refused to compromise on quality. I am not gonna complain.

SHAFT's problems have nothing to do with a refusal to compromise on quality. Their scheduling is notoriously poor, with the studio starting on projects too late and allotting too little time for animators and subcontractors to do a proper job. Quality gets impacted (and rather badly at times, from the storyboard to the drawing), although they make efforts to improve the DVD/Blu-Ray releases.

On Girls und Panzer, I'm reading that Mizushima modified the storyboards as production progressed, which affected the studio's ability to get going on the last episodes. Maybe a more experienced company might have ramped up on time, but whatever the case, he realized that the episodes wouldn't be finished on time.

It's months now. Ep 10 would air as scheduled, but ep 11 and 12 are due in March. Timeslot availability causes the issue.

At least we are suppose to get episode 10 tonorrow. It will be good to see what happened, the aftermath, and how they get their Type 3 tank with three new club members. (also maybe the Tiger (P) in the credits).
