I have never played an erogame in my entire life but that was a very very interesting read, kj1980. A lot of things are making much more sense than they used to and it gives me a better understanding about the anime scene there. Thank you very very very much... You can't believe what a great help you are being to the English anime community as a lot of such insight and information is usually kept in the Japanese anime community and few people can bring so much over so clearly.

As for

I don't know the proper English word for it, but Elf's patented "dizzer" management in combining different colors over another per pixel to "make-believe" that many colors exist was practically an art on its own.
The word is "dither" I think a lot of us are quite familiar with that.

Blimey kj1980 !! I'll bet your fingers must have been steaming after typing that many mammoth posts.

Seriously : very informative and a wonderful insight as has been pointed out already . Thank you for spending the time to do it, it is appreciated.

Now It's just a race between : waiting for Kanon to be completely translated (at least for Mai's part ) OR finish learning sufficient Japanese to carry on myself and enjoy it for every story arc too (rather than spend ages looking up every other Kanji or so, which distinctly ruins the mood). ^_^

And then there's AIR, Wind, Clannad, One etc etc....etc etc... oh dear.

*sniffs around at Duel Saviour* Hmmm..... will investigate.

Well just completely finished Idols Galore and despite it not normally being a game I'd play, it kinda reverses the emphasis on sex and story...for example, the first half for the girls revolves around setting them up for erotic jobs to undermine your rival manager...very little to do with actual sex or visually displaying sex here...the mid-point of the game starts delving more into the story but it also brings the start of the sex scenes...ok, here's where it starts to feel like many other sex-games :P That's what I thought until I started towards the end...each girl's arc, including the harem arc, actually starts to make sense, the sex starts to actually play a more romantic role in the story...which is funny considering the harem arc, since it is normally seen as just an erotic tromp to get all the girls in the game naked at once....

I was pleasantly surprised at the game's story...it's no Crescendo or equal, but on it's own, it's pretty good for a light-romantic comedy.

Another Elf game's coming out this month. It's called Worths Worth. Okay most of us may know that It's a remake of the original but the best thing about this remake is Its XP compatible. So we won't have to worry about running into any problems setting it up or during the game. I'm not sure if theres going to be any additions to the game like new mini games or new events or anything like that thou. Anyone mind filling me in on that? Anyway what do you guys think of this game?

Get a cute piggy bank, put some "shinies" in it every now and then, and Voila! Before you know it, you have enough to buy Kana - Little Sister. Truly a game worth buying if I ever saw one.

I hate to break it to you, but college students who live on a 20 dollar a week for food allowance provided by their mother and subsist on burritos generally do not have that kind of cash.

Anyway, asking for help to use illegal material is against the rules because nobody want to have legal problems here :P

I got by apparently...besides, this is a luxury, not a neccesity. I'd love it if that mentality would work though...I'd be walking into my nearest BMW or Lexus dealership and stealing a car with the excuse that I'm a poor unemployed college student....think that would work?

Get a job, I worked 3 jobs while going to college full time, didn't bother me one bit. If you want the luxuries, you have to learn to earn them.

I don't deny that I've downloaded games before, but I will admit that all of the games that I have download have also been purchased, yes, this includes the ones that I despised with a passion. I don't believe in taking what isn't mine, but I also cannot see spending the prices some of these programs cost without some prior hands-on with it.

Of course, lately I've become much more pickier in my choices with games, so I haven't had an issue as of late, so I haven't even been downloading games for a while now.
