Chito was the one who wanted the cat eye fabric in the first place, so a Chito pillow seems like a good bet.

Interestingly, it seems that Chito was also the one who recommended she make a robe for Chinatsu instead of two for herself. I think Chinatsu has really won the cat's heart. But then, she wins hearts left and right. She is an archetype of pure, adorable, non-sexual cuteness that wins your heart just by being herself.

Indeed, this is as pure a slice-of-life as you'll see - unlike at least 90% of the time when the term is misapplied. I wouldn't be shocked to see a second season, since fundamentally this series is a cute girls doing cute things and those tend to find some love in the BD market. Stalker looks pretty decent - it might be just on the edge. Is there enough material for another season?

I believe they adapted much (but not all) of the material up through chapter 21 or so and the manga is not yet quite up to chapter 30 at the moment ... so perhaps after a little while?

As for the Chito fabric, I am betting it will be for a pillow - her old one (the pillow case looking thing that held Makoto's old robe) got "removed", after all! XD

Nope. As a result of the monthly release of the manga, the anime has adapted almost everything that has been released so far.
Some say that the anime had adapted four years worth of manga content.

The flying whale segment was wonderful. And I love how Chinatsu just opened the door after a couple of minutes after saying she wouldn't. If they ever actually teach her any magic I think that she will end up like a higher energy Akane.

Before the final two episodes, I had only one major criticism for this show - For a show called "Flying Witch", it sure doesn't have much actual flying in it!

So it was great to see both of the final two episodes, and especially the last episode, feature some very nice actual flying. I love how very elegant and appropriately magical this show makes flying look.

In any event, the last two episodes were very good. Nice to see that Chinatsu and I both have the same favorite color, and it certainly made for a wonderful witch's robe for her. And the whole flying whale bit in the 2nd last episode was very creative and truly captured the imagination.

So I now have one very minor criticism - Given his prominence in the OP, the Harbinger of Spring really should have showed up at least once more.

Lovely anime. Close call between Flying Witch and My Hero Academia for my favorite one-cour anime of Spring 2016.

^ Yeah, the Harbinger is a chill guy. But then again, he is the Harbinger of Spring, so his duties are doomed to be limited.

At least Mandrake-kun still had a part in the end.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. I would have put Anzu in his place: she's more of a regular character and has about the same level of drop-in character status as Inukai. I think they may have chosen the Harbinger for that position more for his outlandish appearance than for his prominence in the series.

I could totally watch 100 more episodes of this, there's just something very right in the way they go about this show.
I do hope that if this ever gets another season to see Chinatsu at least making a potion

Now that I am sure most of you have seen it, I just want to say that one of the most awesome moments in the whole anime for me was when the three girls were watching the tiny distant cloud, and suddenly the real whale comes up behind them, looking so close that I was almost worried it would hit their heads. That was just awe-inspiring. I seriously thought it was the cloud too, and then WHAM! WHALEFALL! I wonder if it flew low on purpose. Who knows how intelligent those creatures are. They have been around for thousands of years, surely.

Last two eps have some nice imaginative visuals. Overall, I kind of enjoyed the series at first but then things got boring. Maybe because I'm a female and I don't really care much for girls doing cute things so I prefer the ep with Kei in it. So I wouldn't mind seeing more of Kei gardening, Kei cooking, more of Kei cooking and Kei farming or whatever with Makoto.

yeah, Kei is really good at cooking. But I find it kind of disturbing that there are now three girls who have called him a wife or a girl because of this. Either it is a disturbing foreshadowing of a big change in his life, or it is a disturbing sexism in Japanese culture. Probably the last one, but you never know with witches around. I mean, if you can turn a girl into a dog, you can probably turn a boy into a girl...

No, that's just Japanese culture. A girl who can cook well is told she would make a good wife, as the wife is traditionally expected to cook for the family in that culture. A boy who can cook well is teased that he's like a girl. The degree to which anyone actually cares can vary by family, location, local culture, and several other factors.

They were really just teasing him. Usually you would tell a girl that cooks well that she would make a good wife, but in this case they are just using the fact that Kei is a boy that cooks well to poke fun at him.

Agreed. It's just light teasing reflective of the local culture for the characters in this show. I don't think Flying Witch's author is trying to make any sort of deeper point here. If anything, the degree of generally positive focus on Kei's cooking skills suggests the the author considers it a good skill for a guy to have.

That also a joke you could crack in most of the western world, so I don't see anything weird in it, the only country where you would probably face resistance for cracking that joke would be the states...

With chefs in the US having cooking shows, winning scholarships....of course we're not going to tease them!
