Just reposting a question I asked in the ep 11 thread, does anyone know the details of how the Gods of War work and how are they piloted?

I saw post saying the God of War pilots were "downloaded" into their machines to be able to pilot them.

pretty much. The pilots are merge with the Machine physically. They don't just pilot the GoW, they are the GoW.

Wow......................so is the process permanent?

If it is I guess that answers my questions about why there seem to be so few of them deployed at any given time, but what about Jizuri Suzaku and Michiyuki Byako?

Does their special status allow Naomasa and that woman from Tres Espana to control them without physically merging with their respective GoW?

Naomasa had her mouse merge with Zuzaka (no idea why others don't).
Byako, the Elf Girl is Ghost (not sure how Byako works either).

GoW has two operations.
It is remote-controlled and coalescence.

Suzaku and Byakko are remorte-controlled type.

Futayo was only able to beat Munshige because he had his "Fastest Man Alive" name severed right? What I'm confused about is when that happened in episode 5. In Munshige vs Futayo's father, it didn't look like he was hit at all by Slicing Dragonfly except towards the end, but he had stabbed it inside his body so it shouldn't have worked. Was it only referring to Muneshige's legs still recovering?

Actually, it was Tadakatsu who lost that battle originally. IIRC, Tadakatsu suffered many injuries from being hit by the Lype Katathlipse, but Muneshige was still forced to use the 17000% acceleration.

However, take note that Tadakatsu has been known to have won every single battle in his life without receiving a single wound. Although the anime series changed it around, it somewhat respected that part of the real Tadakatsu Honda's history.

Wait, how did it end in the novel? Because if Muneshige won, then Mikawa shouldn't have blown up.

Judging from how long Muneshige slept after his "victory", it's clear that Muneshige was also incapable of fighting, let alone using the Lype Katathlipse, after the fight.

Just guessing but, since they're not playing the role of "Tachibana Gin & Tachibana Muneshige" anymore... I'd think it'd be okay if they kept their first names wouldn't it? They could also just adopt some unimportant last name too.

Actually what was Muneshige's name before he inherited Tachibana Muneshige?
If Kawakami even mentioned it that is. (In those thick books, sparing one line couldn't hurt right?
