I'm looking for the longest school uniform skirts in anime. I'm talking about actual regulation length, not it being adjusted like Uo's in Fruits Basket. The actual story/voice acting could be the worst ever, but I want to see something with normal looking school skirts.

Yes. I know this is an odd thing to look for.

Maria-sama ga Miteru possibly? It's based in a christian school for girls, so the skirts are very 'respectible'.

Tenshi na Konamaiki is one example. And its really funny too. One of my top favorites.

12 Kingdoms I think has normal School uniforms even if only for the 1st episode.

Koi Kaze had very realisitic skirt lenghts. AIR TV also had very long skirt lenghts. Other than that, I don't really know.

Actually, IRL, those skirts are very short, especially because girls tend to tie them very high over the waist (which I don't like).

But I agree with Radiosity about Mari-mite.

One thing you should know, though : Not so long ago, (like in the 80's 90's) "very" long skirts were the exclusive property of furyô girls. At least, that's what I've been told. If anyone can confirm or deny.

Ooh, how could I forget Nanoha? That school has pretty much the longest skirt length I've seen (like ankle length).

They are hardly "traditional" uniforms, but the skirts in Ouran High School Host Club are mid-calf length.

Maybe not traditional, but definitely very prim and proper. I normally like things like the Shuffle uniform, but I have to say I'm actually quite attracted to the Ouran dress. Not sure why though :|

well, in japan most girls DO shorten their skirts. i always did. i think a reastic length was in koi kaze, or maybe aishiteruze baby.. marimite did too in terms of longer style.

I believe Kimagure Orange Road will satisfy your craving for long skirts. The girls at the school the characters go to all wear skirts that go below the knees and end near the shin.

Kamichu has long skirt uniforms IIRC. It's been a while since I saw any of it though, so my memory of the show is a little fuzzy.

Does that mean the same as sukeban (thug/girl gang girls)?

Always a favorite of mine, I can never find any good anime pictures though.

Sukeban Deka was one there was both an anime and a live action show.
