i personally think the anime can get really funky, we ll start seeing Gunshot nins, and gun-related jutsus... hm.. thats not such a bad idea.

cuz it felt weird when i saw naruto drink off pop machines, 2nd exam being video taped, instant nooodles and stuff.

um what do u MEAN?! in that time period. THEY HAVE VIDEO CAMERA (they taped and timed ppl who went in the tower in 2nd exam)

they have VENDING MACHINES, INSTANT NOODLES, PORN. IF u wanted it to be exact with the actual ninja time period, there would be NONE of those, instead u will get horses, normal noodles, river water drinks, and most importantly.. NO PORN, or maybe in crappy black n white

It's in a made up fantasy which could not be pin pointed that borrows technology from different eras.

There was an interview with Kishimoto in Viz' Shounen Jump a couple of months ago in which he categorically stated that there will be no firearms in Naruto. I don't remember his reasoning for that, but he doesn't seem to like guns. Anyone remember that interview or knows a link to it, let's have it.

Ah... thanks to the link of the interview. I haven't read that yet.

Ya... what about Gatou? I don't remember any guns used in those episodes. The mercenaries he acquired were all carrying swords or other edged weapons.

guns are useless in the ninja world , nbecause the ninja them self are way faste than a bullet when the enemy fires.

it would most likely be like Saiyuki then. Little bit of chit chat, demons (Ninja's attack) kick the demons with the same old moves, then gun comes out .... gone demons.... more domons next episode....l(guess I only watch for the laughs and perhaps the one good one liner?) Naruto would be boring as Chakra would appear silly. Why would Sharingan or Buyugan be important if someone could just hit someone off guard with a gun..
