I still haven't started Lucia's route... Reason being, I want to see certain things in Harvest Festa. So regarding that, I have a question.

(I'm not sure if this is a spoiler question)
Do I need to know/read the Moon and Terra chapters to understand things in Harvest Festa? Or do these do most of the stories there do not require that knowledge?

I think you need to read the Moon route to slightly understand Kagari's story and Rewrite Quest in Harvest Festa. Shizuru's story is also a continuation of the Oppai end, which you can only get after you finished the game and do all the quests. It's not a requirement, but you will be confused on why some characters act so strange.

The other heroines' stories are fine if you have read their routes.

Damn, Shizuru's Harvest Festa story was the first thing on my list... (Although I might just read it anyway since I'm annoyed with her end). Oh well, there's still Akane and Chihaya. Just to be sure, could anyone confirm if I need Moon and/or Terra route knowledge to read those?

There's a slight scene at the beginning and end of Akane's story that relates to the Moon route, but it's nothing major. If you want, you can easily skip it.

I can say that the five heroines' stories in Harvest Festa do not spoil Moon/Terra.

Finished Akane's route yesterday, so now I have read all 5 routes. Even though I like the "old" Key style, I don't think I've enjoyed any route in older Key games as much as Rewrite's routes. Romeo really brought some fresh air into Key. And more of Ryukishi07 is always a good thing.

Thoughts in reading order:
Spoiler for Kotori:

Spoiler for Chihaya:

Spoiler for Lucia:

Spoiler for Shizuru:

Spoiler for Akane:

Ranking:
Routes: Lucia > Shizuru > Akane/Chihaya > Kotori
Girls: Kotori > Shizuru > Akane > Chihaya/Lucia

I also really enjoyed Yoshino's character. I liked that he got a bit of characterization in every route, so after the five routes he really feels like a round character. Sunohara and the Little Busters boys got their development too, but not really outside their routes. I think prefer the approach Romeo took with Yoshino. Hopefully he plays a role in Moon and Terra, because I enjoy both his antics and his serious side.

A technical question:
Is it possible to copy my savegame? So far I read on my home pc, but I want to continue on my laptop. It would be a pain to skip through all five routes and most likely miss many of the sidequest during the mappie scenes.

Yes, it is. Look for a Key folder in your Documents folder

I've finished Shizuru's route a while ago and it's my favorite route out of her, Kotori, and Chihaya. My eyes are extremely puffy now//

Spoiler for Shizuru's Route:

Done with Lucia route 3 days ago (my last heroine route). Today, finally recovered from the massive damage received when I went through the route on a single run. And guess what, looks like I have found a forbidden fruit or something I'm officially a part of Lucia's Legion now @_@

Spoiler for Lucia's route:

Currently a few hours in Moon route, but I like the direction where it is going. If anything, this could be my most favorite KEY game to date (easily replacing Clannad from my list).

Does the fan disk allow non-Japanese computers to play it?

The original game doesn't so I doubt the fandisk would either.

Unfortunately I'm not surprised. Thanks.

If it's permitted, can anyone tell me how to play this game without using japanese computer?
Back in the day there was a "noDVD" patch that stopped the stoppage. I dunno if it works for an updated version or the fandisk tho.

Aren't there ways to change your computer's region?

Yes, but that won't work for Rewrite. It checks some piece of code you can't change to see if it's running on Japanese OS. Specifically for the purpose. The only way to fix it is use Japanese Windows (like bought from Japan Japanese windows, not just locale) or fiddle the Siglus executable so that it doesn't check.

Ha ha oh wow that's cruel.
Well, there was a crack for that posted a while back in this very thread, if I recall correctly. It might work for Harvest Festa as well.

I know, ultra cruel. Is why I refuse to buy from them until they decide to stop shitting on me from heaven (but im like one of around thirty people who are not injapan and actually buy, so im sure they dont care )

Me and some other good fans are writing them letters. Maybe that will help.
