Having never ordered anything from Hong Kong (bootlegs make me cry), I'm not familiar with that comapny's terminology, but in my experience, a routing number is usually only used to prove the item was sent. Generally, they indicate where a package is headed and where it came from, kinda like postal codes, so sortation plants can quickly send them on their way.
(Routing numbers are also required for wire transfers between bank accounts, but this isn't a question related to payment) |
