Most of the chapters have no plot significance anyway, so they could easily animate them out of order or completely skip them without much problem. As long they keep the more important chapters, it wouldn't matter much.

Exactly, I just personally think that it is the first of many chapters that hints to what the chief's real identity is and in turn is important.... at least for me.

Just watched ep 2 and I liked it. Its weirdness is cool.

That chief Kappa is hilarious, as well as that sister. They made me laugh a lot.
Nino is so cute... I wonder about her past. Looking forward to watch next episodes.

Anyway, I like how they finally found a source material that is PERFECT for SHAFT + Shinbo. These ADHD induced stuff suits his style of directing and comedy more so than ones that aim for dramatic effect (Vampire Bund....ehem..)

Seriously, I think SHAFT should just stick to doing comedies until they find a better way to animate more serious anime stories.

Just started this anime.. so strange! I hope we get to see the background of other characters other than Ric's. As for how everyone living under the bridge seems so strange, I suppose Ric's obsession with providing for himself is extremely strange too.

Really love his moment of connecting with Nino in episode 2. Also really like the priest character!

Not sure whether I love this series though.. but will keep on watching.

Episode 1
I watched the first episode of AUB and it was pretty good. This anime promises to be a very interesting one. While watching it, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Bakemonogatari.

There are various elements that are kind of similar between those two series, and since I did enjoy watching Bakemonogatari I will surely enjoy watching AUB.

Episode 2

-Okay, I’ll come out and say it, I dislike the opening very much. The song was so annoying and thus I was not able to enjoy the op animation, so I have no clue whether it was good or just as bad as the song. I don’t know if I’ll change how I feel regarding the opening but that’s how I feel at the moment.

-Ric blushing and getting nervous at the thought of being alone in a room with his gf, a.k.a Nino, was so adorably funny.

-Just like Araragi in Bakemonogatari,

the leading guy of this anime is also a perv. XD

-The reason why Ric cried while Nino was washing his hair was so touching!

-“Amen!” The church and sister scenes were hilarious! ROFL!

-I don’t know if the people from Nino’s village are sane or just plain crazy but I know that they made me laugh a lot.

The ED was much better than the OP IMHO, I must say.

Ok I'll give you Araragi, but theres nothing wrong with Ko here. He is just a regular guy (although we still aren't sure just how old or YOUNG Nino is. Plus when you get right down to it all guys are some level of pervert.

Episode three is a blast. Hoshi could be Sugita Tomokazu's best role next to Gintoki. The whole date segment was pretty good, especially seeing Nino in that dress.
