In phase 1 of Destiny, Cagalli was confused at what was going on, surprised at the new Gundams, worried about Athrun, and frustrated that a new conflict seems to be happening again.

Major change of her personality there.
Key point: she joked.

It doesn't mean that she would never lean on Kira for support.

The first images in both SEED and in Destiny are the same. Then in SEED, she reacted to Blue Cosmos, which is understandable, then the rest of your SEED images shows Cagalli reacting to Cagalli potentially being held up by Andrew. So, again, that's understandable. But in the fight itself, she's just about the same as in Destiny.

Let me repeat myself
She show many emotion in seed in eps 19/18 like anger, confuse, hate, fear, courage..etc

While in destiny eps 1 she mostly just space out like idiot in the middle of warzone and the moment she don't than she only show fear emotion...
(she either show fear or space out... can't she show other emotion?)

about same image >>> that what I mean >> same role but different output

Because of the situations: You had the attack itself, the revelation that it's from Blue Cosmos, and then being taken to Andrew's mansion.

The situation in Destiny is only the attack on ZAFT and, as I mentioned, she still expressed different emotions.

Clearly Cagalli is suffering from something. After all, she is confused over why people are dumb enough to start another war.

idiocy as she doesn't realize that it is what humanity is tragically very good at. Furthermore (and perhaps due to my cynicism) it is partially due to her and the rest of the former heroes for they did not allow a final decision to be made in the last war (aka who won decisively and brutally).

And as for the show as a whole, seeing all of this again is like watching a horrific nightmare come back to life. And its even more worse after everything I've read about this (both the facts and the opinions on this show).

As a veteran who already been through the “Destiny nightmare” before, I’m watching the Remaster just for the mecha-porn and some new HD footage .

At the same time, no one wants to be killed or persecuted. It's one of life's questions/problems that may never be solved by humans, but it doesn't hurt to pose the questions anyway.

Many wars ended decisively and brutally, yet conflicts still remain.

Like I said, its due to the cynicism that I have towards this show.

There wouldn't have been a winner at all if they didn't intervene. EA would have nuked all the Plants, Zala would have Genesised the Earth in response (killing everyone on it and leaving it uninhabitable) and assuming the remaining forces didn't slaughter each other to the last man, there would have been a handful of people hanging out in space, with only the moon cities left and no supplies coming in anymore to sustain them beyond a few months.

Thus a human race doomed to extinction within a few years at the most.

Let me put it this way, after a long retrospective on SEED and SEED Destiny, its one of those cases that one would wish the bad guys (in this case Rau triumph). At least we would avoid the idiotic trash that was SEED Destiny and its influence on the Gundam series that came after SEED and SEED Destiny.

I can't believe that I used to like these protagonists. What the hell was I thinking. Its one of those cases that for this show, the protagonists deserve to lose, a la the end of Mortal Kombat Conquest (in which the protagonists are virtually murdered in cold blood by legions of Shao Kahn's invincible assassins and Raiden is beaten to within an inch of his life by a version of Shao Kahn who is lot more threatening that what was seen on Mortal Kombat: annihilation.)

Well that rarely ever happens, and Gundam have always been about resolving conflicts peacefully in the end....not wiping out all of humanity

And the horrible writers would have saw to it that everything went down downhill, no matter what happened

Fix? What needed to be fixed there? Assuming we're on the same page as to the ground slash.

They zoomed in to try to cover that a bit.

It's basically in the beginning, when Impulse slashes the ground and then goes to hit the Gaia's shield, but upon impact, the ground "repairs" itself.

No doubt about that. Had a lot of promise, but then....well the rest of the series happened .

Would have been nice to just outright remake Destiny with this opportunity, but never expected more than just an added visual polish in the first place.

Banpresto has that covered for them. They've remade Destiny's plot in ever SRW game for the better but K where Destiny was just there.

Than again they don't have to worry about animating talking scenes and have more chances for characters to interact since it's a game and not an expensive anime that must fit in a certain time frame per episode.

Banpresto is a game company. All they have to worry about is whether that one game is popular and fun and sells, and giving the player as many units as possible. And even then not everyone is always please. Some people actually complained that removing the tension between both sides in L made the GSD plot there boring. Some people would rather be with the Kira faction from the start. Some people wanted your team to side with Durandal in the end and kill Kira and Lacus.

And, they don't have to worry about a whole year of keeping people interested as well as making sure the models sell, the music is played so CDs sell, and they stick to their budget.
