I might as well do this by month, that's how I record things in my little book log:
June 2009 Zoe's Tale, by John Scalzi The Ten-Cent Plague: The Great Comic-Book Scare and How it Changed America, by David Hajdu Sun of Suns, by Karl Schroeder The Child Garden, by Geoff Ryman Eclipse 2: New Science Fiction and Fantasy, edited by Jonathan Strahan "The Ten-Cent Plague" is pretty interesting because of how eerily it parallels the current EOCS's new eroge restrictions in Japan. Just like they say, those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it...I think the book might be quite interesting to anyone worried about modern freedom of speech in anime, manga, and VN. It was also really interesting to learn the oft-forgotten history of American comics. Besides that, pretty much all SF. I really ought to expand my genre horizons a bit, orz. |
