This anime was bland in concept, but it had excellent direction that made even the most cookie-cutter tropes feel refreshing. It's great that it was able to get the same director as Minami-ke, whom I'm starting to see in a very positive light. The comedy was fairly funny, more so than I expected it to be from my first impression. All four of the main characters are very interesting, especially Kyouko, whose effervescence is always a joy to watch. The light drama and character interaction, especially between Kyouko and Yui, helped elevate this anime above mediocrity.
If Yuru Yuri gets a second season, I just hope that it'll have the same staff in charge, because the one we got here did a top notch job. |

Haha, ended up making another thread for this because it didn't turn up in the search, turns out you aren't supposed to put a space?
Oh well, marathoned this last night and loved it, season 2 maybe?

Apparently, some BDs come with specials. The first special was a minute and a half of going through Chinatsu's rendition of a Cinderella/Snow White hybrid fairy tale with her as the damsel in distress, Yui as the prince on white horse, Kyuoko as the evil stepmother and Akari the invisible evil stepsister.
Don't watch this if you're still recovering from seeing her 'masterpieces' in the main show itself.

Now i'm worried. The sales are almost 11k, which should be fantastic for shows like Yuruyuri. Expected announcement for S2 to be made ages ago, but no news on it yet
Afraid that the lack of manga materials + other issues will prevent S2. Even when there's clear profit
