1)Select the marque tool Spoiler:
2)Use it. Try to make a square form when and if possible. To see the exact measurements, check on the info table on right. That saying W (Weight) and H (Height) Spoiler:
Once you got the square or whatever, you can also move it on the left or on the right, Just left click on it and move it. 3)When you've got the desidered portion of image, go on "Image" ---> "Crop" ---> click Spoiler:
4)Result: Spoiler:
5)Now you can do whatever you like with, if it's a square you can resize it too 100x100 (Image --> Image Size ---> set 100 x 100) Spoiler:
Etc.etc... hope this is what you needed

anyways, what i wanted to ask was: has anyone tried to make the entire dancing sequence in the ED of suzumiya haruhi no yuuutsu into a gif? i know it's not possible to make one small enough for a sig or avatar. i just want to make one to look at without having to open the video again. i tried saving the image sequence with virtualdubmod and ended up with about 950 pics, and that's omitting the parts without the dancing. when loading it up in imageready, it took more than 5 minutes then crashed right at the end. |

Fixed Ratio Cropping.
Spoiler for Reply:
Quote:
I found it usefull in creating sigs since it gives me a perfect 500X160 rectangle to work with. Note it tends to zoom out afterwards. So if you see it smaler check the zoom. It should always end up 500X160 exact. Using this method you skip image resize since your croping it to the exact size Spoiler for img:
Other tool have this option as the Fixed Aspect Ratio (the default is normal) To revert to a random selection set the H and W to 0. Or in Photoshop hit the Clear button.

You misunderstood, when you set h:100 w:100 it will mantain the proportions not the size... you can make it as big as you want... after you have your selection it will automaticly crop it to the size specified (in other words your selection will be croped and resized at the same time)
The same goes for 500X160.

Your sig is too big for the forum (50,000 bytes max... yours is 1mb... it's a little too big )... go here for explanation ... The little things... also, other problems that can occur
I think it's explained in this thread Tutorial thread... if you can't find it, post a request there...

Total noob question: Is there a way to crop different frames in different areas? Or to put it another way, is there a way (within Imageready) to crop a frame individually? I know I could just crop them all in Photoshop, but I'm trying not to do that.

Technical Difficulties (help, plz)
Okay, I'll admit it. I'm completely, utterly, stupid when it comes to programming or anything having to do with creating something from nothing on the computer. So therefore, expert opinion would be supremely appreciated.
How do you make anime gifs on the computer? I've asked people, but for some reason I never get a straight answer, so it must be complicated. I've always wanted to know so I could make my own. (Yes, I'm a Deviantart.com member: "LostSamurai") I've submitted nothing, and I think it's time to change that. Can anyone help me with a tutorial or walkthrough (or something)?
