I like playing Syndra against a Kassadin. I stomp him pre-6 and obliterate him with my early lead post-6 still.

Pretty insane games from the Chinese S3 qualifiers. Team Royal's breakthrough has to be the biggest story of the LPL scene of the year so far. Today they have to play 9 games in 9 hours to secure that no.1 seed. After losing 3 games in a role and had their back against the wall, they won the next 5 games in a role!

For being the favourites of most of the people to actually win the entire tourney, SKT1 got their asses handed to them by OMG. Seems like the Chinese did their homework.

I'm sure they'll be fine. There's still many more games to be played. They have time to relax, get used to their environment, and think things over. Like the majority of people, I think SKT and OMG will most likely be the ones to advance. In the other group however, SGO will most likely advance. The other team will be... Fnatic? GG? Will be interesting to see over the next few days.

Fun game versus Ozone, Gambit starting off quite well this time around (OMG Genja didn't build trip doran's/BT!!!). Unfortunately I missed the other matches, damn time zones <_<

Next match I'll get to watch:SSO vs Fnatic if I wake up early enough...

As for Genja's...peculiar builds, at least he really needed the mobility (although a PD would have been a much more...normal weapon of choice).

1) Start off however you want, Doran's+pot is a good way to hit it off.

2) If your jungler follows the "gank top->win game" mentality, skill Q first: the bonus MS and reduced cooldown will help you catch someone once and maybe twice, in case your jungler has some kind of CC. If you're playing top farmers with the enemy top, skill frenzy to provide better punishment. You will still be needing your Q for the event on an enemy gank.

3) Buy wards. Either at tribrush or at the brush to the left end of the river, you WILL need vision. Ward your blue/red as well as the game progresses and, of course, baron as soon as it spawns.

4) Your best damage-increasing items are sunfire cape and wit's end. As for defense, sunfire cape is a good big item to complete first, but if you're having trouble against a caster, you can go for a spirit visage or a banshee's veil. Ideally, you'll want both on Volibear; the new banshee's veil gives you heavy regen every time you're hit and SV boosts your passive quite nicely...and, of course, they all offer HP. If you're covered in terms of AR/MR, you can get warmog's instead (covered meaning you hit a nice cap of 150 each).

5) In case of hard focus from AD carries with percentile damage, Randuin's Omen is a must, since it works twice as well against them.

6) You shouldn't really try to initiate, leave that for someone with safe CC (ideally a support or jungler with a hook) and follow up immediately afterwards. Your main role is that of an offtank - drop CC, soak some damage, deal some damage and let everyone else finish the job; thunder claws and wit's end synergize well, but farmed carries will heal fast with lifesteal and most supports will keep you busy if they're still alive, so don't overextend in order to chase.

Most of it is common knowledge, can't really go in-depth unless you want specific matchups.

And SKT1 seems to struggle as soon as Faker-sempai (lol) isn't around.

Koggy has always been amazing. Strange no one plays as him as much since he scales better late game than Vayne because he can long range harass before fights, safely pick up kills, and can put the pain in a straight up brawl.
