Oooooh! Shounen Onmyouji!!! I love this! Masahiro and Mokkun are soooooo cute! I loved episode 5 not for the bloodiness but those flashbacks with Guren and the wittle baby Masahiro! Awwwwww!!! I thought the end of the episode was funny when Masahiro was having a temper tandrum (reason unknown to me) and he was throwing scrolls at Mokkun like mad! Hahaha!!! That's funny! Oh! If this isn't too much trouble, I was wondering if anyone of you know when Yoroshiku has the episodes in direct download. Oh! Do you people also know how you can get them in avi format please? Because I don't use mp4 format. But I love Masahiro and Mokkun! Sooooo darn cute!

Episode 6...

...the slaughter of mononoke's continue. When I see those critters I think of the wonderful Kamichu. It's actually rather disturbing to see these rather cute and timid local dieties being beheaded, squashed and pulverished to death by deranged monkeys.

I didn't really get the whole possessed carraige wheel thing. What was that about? That was bizarre...

Anyway next week looks like Akiko-hime is being targeted.

When Mokkun goes over to ask the carriage (I'll call him "Kurumanosuke" like Masahiro) to explain his actions, he says that he was out for a walk when he ran into the collapsed man. He approached the man out of worry, but was scared away when he saw an onmyouji (Masahiro). Mokkun gets angry, saying that it's shameful for a "youkai" to be such a coward, and demands that Masahiro exterminate him. Masahiro realises that he isn't bad after all and releases him from the spell. He then tells "Kurumanosuke" that he's free to go, and that he should make sure he's not seen when he goes for a walk next time.

Thanks for that. Yeah it was a memorable scene.

So, ep 7...

...well Keiko turned out to be quite a formidable opponent. I thought she would be a simple exorcism for Masahiro, but Keiko had some back up from Kyuki's (is that the right spelling?) ayakashi. The ep ended on quite a cliffhanger with Akiko-hime being kidnapped. Next ep should be a good showdown.

Incidently I know the MasahiroXAkiko is pretty much set in stone, but I do wish she wasn't so wet. Okay she did venture out on her own this ep, but she needs to snap out of 'damsel in distress' mode.

This show needs to get some love - its damn good. Deserving of far more attention than its getting.

I totally agree. It frustrates me that this show isn't more popular. In terms of action this show has some excellent battles, including a surprising amount of gore. It also serves as a good introduction to Abe no Seimei and the whole onmyodo aspect of Japanese history and mythology. As if that wasn't enough it's got Norio Wakamoto as the evil Kyuuki!

I'd like to know that also. It's obviously the root of the rift between the shikigami and Guren.

Just watched ep 8, fantastic episode, lots I didn't understand (need subs desperately!) anyway...

Spoiler for initial thoughts:

...Kurumanosuke's back! Glad he was not just some random youkai to be dealt with. So with his help Masahiro and Mokkun head into the forest to save Akiko-hime from Kyuu, but they have to get passed Keiko first. So the two things I didn't get:

1. Why Keiko was hammering nails into the tree
2. The spell Masahiro cast with his steps which trapped Keiko

I'm guessing these are aspects of onmyodo? I'm quite fascinated by this stuff, I should read up on it.

Anyway, interesting that Guren doesn't recover that quickly. His wounds from Gakuu and Shun were still plagueing him (also in his Mokkun form) when he appeared to hold of the ayakashi in the forest.

Gah! Another cliffhanger ending!

Aww shit....I was on a hurry downloading ep8 raw hoping that they'll show Masahiro saving Akiko and all but it still ended up in a cliffhanger!? Aww....gotta wait for another week. Btw, I think Keiko was trying to curse someone when she was hammering nails into the tree. I don't understand jap but I suppose she turned into what she was now because of jealousy.

Shounen Onmyouji really caught my interest. I just finished watching episode 8. Dammit! Dx Cliffhangers. >/ Anyway, can't wait until episode 9 rolls around.
