If Rock Lee was able to use jutsu's how do you think he would compare to the other genins in combat?

As of now I think Rock Lee is atleast in the top 5 of the genin students, but if he were to actually be able to use jutsu's I'm thinking he could easily beat just about any of them.

If he was able to use jutsus, maybe he won't have the same drive to work hard as he has currently. Then maybe he'll turn out to be less powerful than he is now even if he has jutsus to help him fight.

Yep he'd probably be a normal every day ninja with moderate power/skill. He wouldn't have ha dthe drive that he has now to succed.

If rock lee could use jutsus he would be just like any other ninja we have seen. The only reason people like him is because he has no chakra control.

Like the others have said above me, the only reason he tries so hard is to prove that he can be a good ninja without the use of any chakra control or jutsus mainly to gain recognition from neji.

if he could use jutsus he would prob be worse off. cos he would have to spend time on the other aspects and leave of the specialisation which got him into the top in the first place.

... he wouldn't be such a Taijutsu machine. He would be a complete different fighter. Perhaps Gai wouldn't even have noticed that he can use gates because he wouldn't be so focused on Taijutsu and Lotus.

Well Lee basically "could" use jutsu's.

If Naruto and Lee work together again...then Lee just have to form the seals and use Naruto's chakra and do it.

The Summoning Technique which seems much complexer worked with Kabuto+Orochimaru...

Facing 100 Lee (Kage Bunshin) + Original Naruto&Lee.....That's like facing 100 green bullets

shit if somehow together naruto + Lee could do Tajuu kage bunshin no jutsu, (and make bunshins of lee) they would thrash just about anyone except maybe the members of akatsuki, the sannin, and orochimaru. i can just imagine someone like kabuto getting thrashed by 1000 lotus's or something lol.

...but i think that perhaps even Akatsuki members, Sannin or Kages cant prevent getting hurt.

That's like putting worlds best martial arts fighter or strongest man in the world vs an army (Tajuu Kage Bunshin [1000+]) of wasps with their stings....this would turn even worse and will mean certain death if all 1000 used their gates

If Lee could use jutsus, he wouldn't have gained the attention of Gai, wouldn't have become specialized in taijutsu and wouldn't have developed his hard work ethic. This is the same as talking about Naruto without Kyuubi, but in reverse.

I think if rock lee could use jutsus, he'd be a different person. Much like naruto would if he didn't have the kyuubi. It's hard to say how strong or weak they'd be.

i would have to agree with the people who said that he probably would be the same Rock Lee that he is now if he didnt have the motivation to actually prove his worth.

Gai-sensei would prob not show any interest in him.

No matter, I still like him better then Shikamaru, hes kinda annoying.

Cuz Gai obviously now can...Perhaps later on Lee can develop his skills in those area

The way I see it is, if Rock Lee was just now able to use Jutsu's after all of his Taijutsu training, I think he would easily be the best genin there currently is.

Anyways, even if Rock Lee could use Jutsu's BEFORE his Taijutsu training, I still think he would be ranked up pretty high. Just look at Gai for example. He is also a taijutsu master and he can use other Jutsu's as well.

Maybe Rock Lee's hard work ethic wouldnt be taken away if Neji was still able to beat him.

well to be picky - its like facing 101 green bullets + naruto

I seriously tho doubt Lee would be the same person he was now if he could use Jotsu's of his own accord. He would have the "drive" he has to improve his Taijutsu and he also wouldn have the time he has now to focus 100% on 1 area, he would also need to train like every other commonday ninja and focus on 3-4 different areas.

If Lee could learn jutsus he should train with Tsunade so that he can acquire her strength and healing jutsus. With Lee's speed and Tsunade's strength he would be a killing machine. He could also use Tsunade's healing jutsu to recover from the strain of opening gates.

Yeah, Kishimoto's not the best with details I know.
