The Bracken fern is a popular food in East Asia especially in Korea where there's festival about it. Except Bracken is poisonous and can cause stomach cancer and Beriberi. As a result, people have to wash the fern many times before cooking it and there are certain times of the year you cannot harvest and eat it as its toxins levels are high during that time.
