Just looked at ANN's article for S2:

The anime's official website revealed that Katsumi Ono, an episode director on the first season and the director of Hataraki Man and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, is replacing Tatsufumi Itō as the director of the new season. Chief animation director Satoru Fujimoto is also assuming the character design role from Satoshi Koike. Akifumi Kaneko is returning to write and oversee scripts, and original character designer Dan Yoshii is also reprising his role at Satelight. Romain added that "there will be new (singing/ main) character(s) too."

I'm so excited about it too ! Too bad there's some changes in the staff, but I'm looking forward to see the new character and how they're going to fix the season 1's issues.

Just finished Symphogear a few weeks ago, would say I love it alot, a pity that some people simply drops it after a few episode. Kanade's death was indeed sad and touching, cried everytime I rewatch that scene.

According to my research the 2nd season of Symphogear is scheduled for January 3rd 2013 don't quote me on this I'll do some more research on Japanese websites to see if anything else supports it.

But if it's true that means we can look forward to a new single from Nana Mizuki who hasn't done anything sisnce Brightstream for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 2nd A's.

Also her newest compilation album Rockbound Neighbors comes out on december 12 so Mizuki fans get your copies.

All of Mizuki's compilation albums (not singles albums) are avaliable at cdjapan at around 30-35 $ plus shipping charges also remeber because they are imports US customs might charge you as well.
