Techniqally, Tsunade should not be hokage... Jiraiya should. So that family is not superior in the ways of the shinobi.

i think that like someone said they both were contemparies and both died young, its probable that whatever the first accomplished, he had at least some help from the second

that is true. i even think the 3rd wantd to make him the 5th since he been looking for him. till naruto comes of age i think if anything happen jaraiya will end up hokage if she dies

if i remember correctly , Konoha was founded by the 1st and 2nd Hokages, and like it was stated earllier post, he was able to use strong water jutsu, on the roof top, even the Anbu captain was impress by that move.

Well no one cant say..really we dont know the real power of 1st, 2nd and 4th Hokage, to say he is Weaker than one or the other will be a very big Speculation.........

The Darkness tech, and the water tech, are both very Strong Jutsus....

the 1st and tsunade are the weakest... Nidaime and the fourth... we know their both strong and have crazy jutsus, but arent stronger then sarutobi.

What to say what to say?

The Nidaime pulled of some great Jutsu's in the Hokage battle (even tho in the manga the 1st casts the genjutsu)
In the Anime the 2nd does a lot more than the 1st but we can't really say anything about it. They are both insanly strong.

The reason they didn't kick Sarutobi's ass was because half of the time they were doing nothing at all. Wich don't make much sense to me to begin with.

Guess their erased personalities still had a feint trace of fair play in them

Ok, you guys coinvinced me that the second hokage isn't crap. Which hokage is the best? Personally i think the fourth is the best, he sealed nine tails, can summon gamabunta and were thought by Jiraya. He gotta kick ass

Id, have to agree with you.
Even tho it's been said many times sarutobi was the strongest Ninja of his time.
The fourth must have been incredible, he actually taught his sensei's some moves

(rasengan, Demon seal technique)

The Fourth is definitley the best Hokage in my mind. You two listed the reasons why.

The only reason Sarutobi is regarded as the 'best ninja of his time' is because he had 60+ years to earn that title. Im sure if Yondaime had another thirty years to live, he would have succeeded that title from Sarutobi.
