Guesses tomorrow...

Observations:

Hidamari and Hayate have definitely fallen in strength. Even though Nagi won, her win was on par with most everyone else.

OTOH, K-On! is back.

Idolmaster is rapidly becoming the wild card of the tournament. I'm willing to bet at least one of them makes the final 8.

Saki, despite their numbers, is unsurprisingly shedding off everyone but its strongest members.

Why do Saki's non-ace characters tend to lose despite having higher rank in the prelims? Is it because of anti-Saki voters, or they just simply got overrated in the prelims (because of combo vote with stronger characters)?
Even in Saki. Touka became portrayed as this overrated loser character.

I bet the Idolmaster who'll make it to the top 8 is Iori due to her Idolmaster and Kugyuu factor.

Easy win for Hinata and an even easier one for Nagi. Nothing really surprising here. I also managed to correctly predict a close Saki match for once. Saber managed to edge past Touka as I thought she would. I wonder if Touka would have won if this match took place before Shizuno beat Kyouko.

おー! The Innocent Charm strikes again!
So far, 75% on the predictions halfway through R1.

Picks: Sakuno, Sanae, Charlotte
Predictions: Cordelia, Sanae, Charlotte

E01 is really tough to call. Their vote totals were all about the same. Chiaki has seiyuu backing even if she got in via 2nd prelims. Milky Holmes hasn't done well so far and Sakuno isn't high on the Mashifoni rankings (even though she's an imouto by Agumi Oto / Gotou Mai). Something's gotta give. Yuruyuri probably will continue its descent against Char.

Iori has to go through Toki first, someone that's easier said then done. Even if she does, there's still Azusa/Akarin in the other half of the group.

Miki has to perform a double (possibly triple) Saki assassination to win her group. I doubt she'll even win against Kodomo.
Chihaya face off against Hinata/Kurisu (Winnable but unlikely) before facing Nagi or Louise
Makoto will lose to Louise
Yayoi face off against Hina then Erio/Yumi, Hibiki against Charlotte and the winner of the Yuu/Taiga/Gitah showdown
Haruka face Yuuna/Karen and Subara, then eventually has to win against whoever comes out of the mess of bottom half of F. Takane will not survived in that bottom half.
Ami and Yukiho will both lose in 1st round to a Saki girl (You're talking about Nonoka and Momo here...) in Group G. Don't see Kotori winning against Yamada.
Ritsuko first has to win against Kuroyukihime, then Izumi (or Shana...), then Poplar. On the other half, (Miura) Azusa face Mio in Round 2, and probably Niku in Round 3...

In another word, IM may be looking good, but I just don't see any of them getting into Top 8. There are just girls that are way stronger out there...Chihaya actually has the best chance, but it's not that easy to win against Nagi/Louise...

Going on just the first four groups and win-loss record so far, Idolmaster is 4-1 (with the one loss against a Kugimiya (Lotte). To reach the top 8 in Group B, Iori would have to go through Toki if they both reach the third round. The wildcard could end up being the Group A match going on the same day. Koromo (Saki) and/or Miki (Im@s) would want to try and tip the scale in their favor, while Yuuki (Saki/Kugi) would end up being in the middle.

Chihaya may have an easier path to the group D finals based on her first round win and the remaining opponents on her side of the group, but will have to face Nagi or Louise, an opponent just as tough as Toki.

For Group E:
Supporting Charlotte (E9) and Chiaki (E1) For character and seiyuu reasons

Easy wins for Sanae and Charlotte in the second a third match. First is likely a close one between Cordelia and Sakuno. I don't think Milky Holmes has done very well so I'm siding with Sakuno even if she isn't very strong. After looking at the interm results, I think I overestimated Cordelia by quite a bit.

Votes:
Uryuu Sakuno
Aioi Yuuko
Charlotte Dunois

Predictions:
Uryuu Sakuno
Nagatsuki Sanae
Charlotte Dunois

Chiaki couldn't complete the seiyuu combo, but Sakuno winning for Mashiroiro is OK.
Charlotte advances which is good, but it's possible she may have to face an Im@s next round.

Split on support for two matches: between Hiro / Erio Touwa & between Yu / Arata.
The third match, I'm supporting Hinagiku. Hoping for no first round snipe for the second year in a row (from 2010).
