Touma has repeatedly demonstrated a preference to take care of things himself and not involve others. Thats because he sees it as a problem other can't solve by themselves thus he decides to cooperate.

He doesn't rejecsts Index's help as long as it doesn't involves a grave danger, but that mainly comes from his obsession with her smile .

Huh? I'm just pointing out that Railgun is a better perspective for the Sisters Arc because the main character is Mikoto instead of Touma. I really don't know what you are getting at with your response.

Those novels makes clear Touma's behaviour about relationships once you get his point you'll understand better why some people would mistakenly assume about him being dense or why he doesnt is paired with A or B character.

Not gonna lie, this version did make Touma look very cool. Guess that's where the Biribiri vision thing game from. Touma seems so much cooler in Railgun than Index where he's more goofy.

touma always been a cool guy but i gotta say how amazingly adapted he was in this version plus bribri vision made it so much sweeter.

I applaud Atsushi Abe and Rina Sato's performance in this episode.
You could feel Touma's honest desire to save both Mikoto and her sisters and Mikoto's despair and wishing to die to save them.
Truly magnificent.

The number of times this has been said in this thread or others about this episode is really funny (I've been one of the ones to say it )

But IMO, this is the first time we've seen TRUE Touma animated in all of Raildex, not just the Railgun series.

Some people might disagree, but I think this is the real Touma anyway... This is partially why I was so excited for Railgun S, because it is the first time we see the real Touma in animation (if done correctly, which it was).

This is also the first time we see the real Mikoto in animation, I would argue. (I don't mean suicidal. I mean: a truly complex character).

In both cases, I mean that both characters have complexity and aren't simple, typical shonen protagonists. (there are complex shonen protagonists as well of course... just not typically.. only in the best ones).

So now, a week after episode 14, I finally feel like episode 14 was a 10/10... (meaning not infinity, just 10/10 or 11/10).

The excitement wore off. Why are these episodes so good?

Oh wait... it's because Kamachi wrote the storyline and he's good at those when it's not romance

Well, he made it at least appear romantic to Misaka. Poor girl was blushing the entire time and than Touma became her Hero at the end of the episode.

I fucking HATE this episode. The "hero in shining armor" comes to save the "damsel in distress" - it was said in the episode itself! Once again a strong character who happens to be a female is regressed to a crying and blushing mess to please those moe-shit loving fanboys.
Mikoto is portrayed as a poor weak girl who can't even protect herself, let alone save someone else, and needs the "big strong man" to swoop in to save the day whilst swooning into his arms.
One of the strongest espers of Academy City's Level 5s? Only before the man arrives into the picture, then she will go back to her natural place as a woman - waiting for the guy to do the job. SO. MUCH. HATE.
