The discussion thread is even shorter than the episodes! I've rather enjoyed the series so far, with a proactive heroine, strong fight scenes, and focus on likeable characters over the lightweight plot. Strong as the heroine is, I was really expecting her in ep 11 to cow the mob and tell them 'I'm the boss, so shut your noise'. Many bossy anime heroines with less fighting skill would've done that (though few of them could pass for boys in any way). I guess Onigashina is just too nice to be a delinquent.
I'm betting that her friends actually all know she's a girl, but just want to protect her. Once again; 'Here's hoping for a LOT more like that handsome cabin boy' |

The ending fell a bit flat though, without any character development or resolution. It was alright for Hinako to be a bit callow in early eps, but couldn't she have become a charismatic thug instead of a sweetness and friendship shoujo heroine? Not showing the boss fight was a bit naff too. But at least the good qualities of early episodes are unaffected, since episodes were so self contained.
