Uh. That really isn't the point of the story though. It's about Kyon realizing that yes, he does value the crazy life he had with the SOS Brigade.

...Again, where are you getting this information? It's never been confirmed. If it had been, I'd know.

Rumors, which originated in the first place from that article on Lucky Star Brigade, are not "common knowledge".

Er, no.

I had my friend translate the names on the title page of Disappearance of Nagato... it says "Original by Nagaru Tanigawa, Manga by PUYO".

Tanigawa had nothing to do with the project. I have no idea where you get your information from, but it's not correct.

Bah, ninja'd.

And Manga-Updates lists the author as "PUYO".

I'm not talking about the cover, like I said!

Are you ignoring the part that says Writer (not Author)?

Of course that could also means he'd rather have Yuki as an alien than a normal human.

So, rather than going with quite possibly THE most official source, you're going with some random websites?

The manga itself lists the author as Puyo.

Wikipedia lists the author as Puyo.

MangaFox lists the author as Puyo.

Manga-Updates lists the author as Puyo.

ANN lists the author as Puyo.

Manga-Helper lists the author as "Nagaru Tanigawa and Noiji Itou" so not only did they get her name wrong they miscredited her.

...Do I really need to say anything else?

Does Original Work refer to the Haruhi concept or the plot of the manga?

Never mind, this is irrelevant. Whenever people talk about ships, they lose track of the plot. Anyway...So what's Suou Kuyoh, then?

Original concept is Tanigawa's, the manga is Puyo's. In other words, spin-off. Why doesn't this have its own thread yet?

An Interface created by the Canopy Domain, or "Macrospatial Quantum Cosmic Existence" if you prefer wordy names.

Irrelevant?

Oh dear.

"Original Work" refers to the work the title is based off of, in this case the Haruhi novels.

"Manga" would imply that Puyo is behind the entire manga, which he (she?) is.

Also, you're running away from a losing argument, which is generally bad form.

Just admit that you're wrong and we can continue with another discussion, please.

Original Work describes what the spin off is based on. Sort of like how all later Star Treks credit Gene Roddenberry as "Based on Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry" even though he's been dead for most of the new products.

I would point out though Kaisos that you intense dislike of Yuki shipping may cloud your judgement from time to time.

It's not the ship, it's the character that I dislike.

And sure, I accept that, but that isn't what we're talking about right now.

Either or...the clouding still gets in the way. It is unhealthy for your writing.

Isn't your dislike of the character because of the ship?

*e* But enough derailment... if this continues, an unfavorable result is likely to occur.

Good.

Now, Kuyoh... well, she's of a different but similar archetype to Nagato... Kuyoh seems truly emotionless and FAR more robotic.

She'd be interesting to write for.

Yeah, I think that way too. It is more or less what I was trying to say early. (I didn't divide alternative material from adaption material. Your terms are more correect, however)

If you make posts as interestings as this one and the relatonship one, I would certanly read.
Perfect. Well, I might put up a blog sometime in the near future then.

I've heard the 10th novel referred to as the final novel... all over the place, frankly. Anyway, I stand corrected - it's only fan speculation at this point.

Adaptation =/= the canon of the original.

Any believe otherwise is just stupid. Unless Tanigawa comes out and SAYS the anime is the definitive version, we use the novel's version of the stories when coming up with theories.
The only exception I might make to this is where the anime adds something to the canon that doesn't contradict it - for example, the way Itsuki laughed after the "I love you" line. Unless the novel clearly states otherwise, that laugh is now a jubilant laugh and not a melancholic "sigh, if only I could go after her" laugh.

Yes, I'm a bitch, I've been a bitch since I joined the web 2 years ago and while I may have improved I still have a temper and fangirlism (though not as much) and behavioral issues, so please don't rub it in.

I find Kuyoh hard to write for, given that I'm not sure when to write dialogue and when to write _________.

It's mostly a result of LSB's rumor-mongering and the fan speculation as to WHY Vol. 10 hasn't come out yet.

Someone who understands Japanese like bayoab might be a better person to confirm though.

That'd be the director's interpretation of the laugh, I'd say.

But then if Haruhi's the Ultra Director, then that banishes all chances of ItsuHaru. xD
