Kind of. She's at rock bottom, as of the train, but she's not coming out of it yet. Notice that she's in a game arcade in the next episode preview, likely being depressed and stuck trying to win at everything, in a really sad kind of way.

I just saw a bit of fanart on Pixiv that puts Yura into the mid-movie lavatory scene from Full Metal Jacket. That does put a lower limit on how confused Yura's mind is.

I'm as confused as Yura. She tries hard at whatever she's told to, and what does she get? Yes, she'd like a modicum of appreciation. Isn't that natural? What do they want from her?

I'm reminded of her first contact with C3. When nobody would call her by her name. And when Ren misunderstood she was only interested in food. (Misunderstanding that still hasn't been dispelled.)

I'm not saying it's anyone's fault, but I still feel sorry for her. I understand why she's so angry. Even if she's wrong to take it out on others like that.

You need to accept yourself Yura, what's most important is for you to recognize yourself Yura. And then everything was awwwright. Shinji, world luvs you.

Actually I like this ending and hope they won't turn it into "lol, that gun in the end actually was a real one".

I don't like that Yura's problem was basically solved by a supernatural agency...

Both Sonora and Rin failed as mentors. They never told Yura what she did wrong. And how come they looked so buddy-buddy this episode? What happened to Rin's "I can never forgive her"?

At least the C3-bu realized that they should have told her about Rento's injury during the 24h tournament. Rento is such a good friend.

I guess seeing Yura and/or failing her made Rin realize something.

That "supernatural agency" is just Yura's inner self.

Spec OPs: The Line. If you know the game, the series of pictures make a whole lot of sense.

While it's a bit weak to just have Yura's...something solve her problems I suppose it's not the worst way to do it. As much as what happened could be pushed to others in the end from the start she needed to accept herself and work from there.

At least in the end the group did actually take a moment and reflect where they were wrong. Props to Ren for stopping their crazy attempts and thinking about what went wrong. Were interrupted with that farewell match, but at least they didn't spend the whole time ignoring things.

Certainly Rin and Sono just weren't the best mentors there. Got to take a moment to reflect as well.

At least things seem to be turning a corner at the end. Even if the flashbacks just reminded me that I still prefer Yura with her original hairstyle .

Sonora failed as a mentor(she voiced her position in this ep.). Rin did everything right but she just couldn't make Yura understand so had to use radical methods in the end. But it's worked at least.

I don't think Rink did "everything right".

I mean, Yura did everything right with regards to Rin's professed ideals of victory at any cost. But Rin rejected her without explanation.
