As for this game...well...not so sure.

Despite having the same VA, I like Maria more than Index. She isn't as annoying as Index was..yet.

I have the same feeling about Index. When she's beating and deceiving Maria, I try to convince myself that she's abusing Index. Not Maria. It makes me feel much better.

The younger sister remind me two characters. Her cult fiction talk is like Ruri from Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai. Her personality is like Sora from Yosuga no Sora.

The story also used references from other sources. At least, it's popular. I think I gain the better comprehension to the story. The story goes this way because it sells. It is better to write a fan service novel than written a denpa novel(but award winning novel) that does not sell. Since the novel story is still serialized, it is self evidence that the formula is working.

Other ranting is the episode brings out the spirit of real life fulfillment(リア充). Characters are showing they are having fun from the real life(not on-line).

Regarding Kobato
If she's 50/50, then she should have at least some of those Japanese genes which is not evident compared to Kodaka who is a half British-half Japanese. Both me and my sibling are 50/50 as well, but there is no distinction just like Kodaka.

So perhaps her mother is Kodaka's mother's best friend or rather far-away cousin and lied to Kodaka about it when she brought Kobato as a baby back to Japan since her real parents abandoned her or probably died or other circumstance. Maybe another reason why Kodaka hates his mother which is evident who is living abroad have something to do with Kobato's origin.

12 TV episodes, at least for now. (I'd certainly suppose they'll keep the door open for sequels down the road.)
