I think it's because the side characters weren't things paid that much attention to. Unlike the main harem girls who were redrawn as similar to the novels as possible. The animators probably took more freedom in drawing the side characters. Honne is unique as a side character that's been in the spotlight while still retaining a sense of uniqueness because her overall atmosphere and character is different from the girls(lethargic with squinty sleepy eyes) who are high strung. I already said it, Okiura's streamlined work backfired in the anime. The uniqueness of the side characters is attributed to the fact that he did not actually work on them. Though I have no proof he had nothing to do with their design.

It's easy to tell the design style of the side characters and the main harem are different despite how much the styles try to be similar. At least I think so.

The t-shirt Ichika wears says Laura ist mein Mann (Laura is my man), how come Ichika isn't holding the baby?

In the last picture it says Ewige Liebe (Eternal Love) on those picture stickers.

Is there actual character or story development in this volume or just another one trying to muddle through with fan service and weak story?
