And Magic Academy arc is currently only about 28 chapters long in the Manga (its ongoing, but close to its end, if compared to the Light Novel plot), which also contains quite a few important plot points.

Seriously, Western fans in general are not really suited to read/watch Japanese Series. Because majority are impatient and want Action in almost every aspect of the plot and want the main plot of the story to rush as fast as possible (but also complain when an adaptation rushes the plot).
They don't really care about build-up at all.

Also, why wouldn't a Series which falls under the "Drama" Genre, have drama in its plot?

And, i think people also forget that, Mushoku Tensei is a "Seinen" Series (it is not a Shounen Series).

I'm not even a fan of Mushoku so I won't start a discussion here. I just pointed out general complaints I see about this arc. In short people I know are dissatisfied that they turned it into generic magical school setting and found it unnecessary for the plot.

I wouldn't say it was unecessary for plot, quite opposite, but let's just say it wasted lot of time on most unecessary person in whole story on top of setting everything necesary for plot.

By the way, I've been reading rumors about Rudeus' actor changing to make not of the body's growth but couldn't find an official source. In the original drama CD, Rudeus was instead voiced by the guy famous for yelling as Zenitsu from Demon Slayer.

Also, I wonder how the character designer goes around changing the style in such a subtle way.

I read that Yumi Uchiyama is still playing older Rudeus (Sugita is still playing his internal voice).

I’m sure Uchiyama will continue playing Rudeus while Suguta stays his inner/previous life’s voice. They’re totally different physical bodies.

And it would have more than 25 Episodes, meaning it would be 3 cour long.
Whether we would get them back-to-back or at gap (like Part 1 & 2 of Season 1), is not mentioned.

Still, the studio that did the animation.... everything looked awesome. Still, I can't believe the teaser is showing a really big scene that might clash with the audience a lot more than Rudeus' perverted nature.

I'm worried about character designer being replaced considering one of the most random surprises of season 1 was how little by little Rudeus grew up. The timeskips were kinda subtle at least if you didn't watch the promo art.

Did you ever wonder what happened to Sylphie after the Turning Point incident? Well, she got flung into the sky, got her hair turned white, and accidentally saved a princess voiced by Reina Ueda being attacked by a monster boar with her magic and then ended up becoming her bodyguard. Pretty eventful return for Sylphie .

Poor Sylphie. She has no idea what happened to her parents, the Greyrat's, Rudy...or anything, really. And she has to survive in the cuthroat world of the Asura aristocracy when she's still that awkard, anxious, girl even when playing a man with Quattro Bajeena style

Princess Ariel is very soft-spoken, pleasant, and the picture perfect image of a classic princess, but she has eyes for the throne, especially spurred on by the last words of her attendant before he died, and she's going to use her popularity and influence to get it even if it means going against her older siblings, especially her older brother Grabel (Hayato, is that you!?) .

Ariel has a radiant singing voice! Perfect for diverting attention from "Fitz's" accidents .

So Ariel's plan is to build up her influence among the populace, nobles, and knights so as such a time she can take power when the opportunity presents itself? Not that it sneaks beneath the notice of her brother .

Ariel plays a good aggressive lesbian! Though it seems like her attraction to Sylphie is genuine at least in the sense that she wouldn't mind a proper romantic experience if Sylphie was up to it...but it's genuinely sweet to see the two girls there to comfort each other through their shared trauma and just fall asleep in bed together. Plus the handholding !

You thought that girl wearing practically nothing was just Darius' booty call? It turns out she's actually a trained and famous assassin. Good thing Sylphie was sleeping with Ariel and was able to use everything Rudy taught her to protect the princess .

It was considerate of Ariel to let Sylphie go free feeling like she failed her and forced her into this and doesn't want to drag her into her self-imposed exile to keep herself safe until the time is right...but now Sylphie feels confident in herself and feels like a genuine friend to Ariel, so she won't let her go alone. And with Luke the trio trail on to their future adventures .

"Next Time: The Brokenhearted Mage" Ah man, that's Rudy isn't it ?
