The model goes by the name Ibara... she's one of my favourites and she's also done two other rendition of Yuki:

I'm also very fond of these two cosplays of Yuki:

particularly since I actually have a figure of Yuki in that last outfit.

That said, I have yet to find anything I'd call a perfect Yuki cosplay, simply because I don't think I've ever seen anyone nail the right facial expression and pose for her.
i fail for not seeing this earlier ..Yuki-Chan Cosplay are Great

Time to bring this thread into the 2010.

Momoka Fujimiya as Ranka from Macross Frontier

and

Cocoa as Kagami from Lucky Star in a miko outfit. I'm not a fan of all of the poses she employees, but the third picture is adorable.

I'm still unsure whether I think the photographer went overboard with cranking the blue saturation levels in Aka's set.
Both of those are great, and why was that Hanakawa never posted any where in the bakemonogatari section D:, it's easily the best cosplay of a character from the series I've seen.

Cosplay?

I didn't see a cosplay section on this forum and was curious to see if there are any fellow cosplayers here. :3

I haven't personally cosplayed yet, but I'm going to at the upcoming anime convention in April~ Yay meeee

*cough*
Anyhow, raise your hand if you like to cosplay. :3
Pictures would be wonderful as well. n__n

As soon as I get some pictures of my cosplay in April I'll be sure to post them up.

Never done cosplay before. If I ever did, I'd probably just go as a simple looking character.

Awww, that's no fun! The more complex the outfit, the more fun you'll have!
Errr, maybe. xD

I guess it all depends on where you go when you cosplay.
Anime conventions are pretty much the best place to cosplay. You get to find other people from the series you're cosplaying, have a photoshoot, etc.

It's actually pretty fun. n.n

lol, the more complex and different the outfit is, the more embarrassed I'd get.

One thing many "complex and different" outfits forget to consider --- finding and using a restroom during a con.

That Russian Mio is actually pretty impressive.

Anyway, I got linked to another Japanese cosplay blog today, and as a fan of EF: A Tale of Memories, I was absolutely blown away by this pair of cosplayers:
http://masashan.exblog.jp/8668420/
I probably shouldn't say this, but the Chihrio cosplayer there gives my girlfriend a run for her money when it comes to cosplaying Chihiro...

This rendition of Kuu from Wagaya no Oinari-sama looks pretty awesome, although she needs to do a better job hiding her real ears:
http://masashan.exblog.jp/9379559/

And finally, since it's been a while since I've posted any of Tomoyo's mind blowingly cute cosplays, here's a couple of her cosplays, first as Tamaki from Bamboo Blade, and second her wearing a miko outfit:

Much as I love Horo/Holo, I dont like that cosplay [beyond my normal not liking/laughing at cosplay...Im not one for fancy dress fullstop].

Don't get me wrong I like the idea, and its mostly well done, but her hair should be darker, I seem to remember the books mentioning her hair being amber, which is a rich, middlish brown, and that cosplay is almost blond, but I also dont think that much of the girl and quite simply, Horo/Holo is more likely to be EUROPEAN/SCANDINAVIAN, not Asian

From the setting of the books, it seems to be a romanticised middle Europe, most likely Germany or that region due to several names used (Loewen Merchants Guild for example would be the Lion Merchants Guild). Now Horo comes from the far north, where it snows a lot, implying she probably originated from either the northern borders of Germany, or more likely, from Denmark, (or if she crossed the sea, Norway/Finland).
Those were heavily pagan regions of the world anyway before the church properly managed to gain root, so again given Horo is effectively a pagan god, this would all fit in. Northern Germany and Denmark also used to have rather extensive forests

There are plenty of asian characters to be cosplayed, leave the few caucasian characters for the caucasian cosplayers!

I'm well aware that Horo is probably intended to look European and actually found the idea of a Japanese model cosplaying her quite jarring at first. But I eventually found myself liking it. It's difficult to find Horo costumes that are that well put together, and the fact that the photos are relatively high res is just icing on the cake.

Besides, while the vast majority of the girls I get to model in my photos at cons are asian (I have a thing for petite girls), I frequently accept non-asians playing asian characters if their costumes are good enough, as I did with these To Heart 2 cosplayers from my last con. I figure it's only fair to give the Japanese cosplayers the equivalent treatment.

Aoki as Haruhi Suzumiya, Disappearance/North High version:
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/13367949/

Cosplays of Kotomi Ichinose from Clannad are surprisingly rare. Ibara does a pretty good rendition of her as part of this Clannad group shoot, which surprised me because while I think Ibara is a great cosplayer, I'd always assumed she wasn't the right build to pull off characters like Kotomi:
http://xxakiraxxx.exblog.jp/10394754/
http://xxakiraxxx.exblog.jp/10389158/

And just to keep with the Clannad theme, here's a nice cosplay of the twins:
http://xxakiraxxx.exblog.jp/10347328/

It's been about a month since I last posted so I've got a few more to come, but I want to space them out a bit.

Well, it's been a week so I'll post a couple more.

First, he's Rinami, possibly the best Mio cosplayer I've seen yet:
http://mpzerocos.exblog.jp/13453943/

There's also a really good gothloli Haruhi and Yuki pair that was at the same event, but I haven't seen posts about them yet so you'll have to make due with the pictures from the event highlight reel:

I must say, Suou does a really, really cute cosplayer of Uiharu Kazari from Railgun:
http://kimokamehirosyu.blog93.fc2.co...-entry-49.html
I think the Kuroko cosplayer with her is Midori Kanda, who I'm also a fan of.

Also, Yuuro_An just posted his photos of all three cosplayers I highlighted in my last post:
Mio: http://yuuroan.exblog.jp/13589683/
Haruhi: http://yuuroan.exblog.jp/13590862/
Yuki: http://yuuroan.exblog.jp/13590864/

Wow, that Mio cosplay is amazingly well done, I mean she got all the details down for the outfit, and still makes it look very cute .
