Sunrise S8 is perfectly capable to handle a two cour, as they already did it with Accel World without any sudden decrease on the animation quality.

This may be just me, but I had the feeling that Toori is much more intelligent (as in VERY intelligent) than he shows, as if the "fool" is a mere mask to fulfil his entertainer contract... a lot of his actions, even perverted ones, helped him reach his goals in ways that you would hardly even notice if you don't think about it a bit.

So this has been bugging me since I been re watching it, unlike most things that I can piece together the whole hazy/translucent lower leg thing on some characters has me confused.

Anyone know the reason for it?

There aren't any "crushes" per say. Tori has a bunch of people who care deeply about him but only one who has any form of romantic interest. This is a pack of tightly nit people who have been together as friends almost from the beginning.

There are several other relationships, the Tachibanas and Mary and Tenzou, but even those are monogamous as far as I can tell 4 archs in.

One of my favorite series. As a passing note: If you like this, try reading Owari no Chronicles. It gives you insight as to how the world got to where it is. Prequel so to speak.
