Hrm, I thought negima had some serious potential when it started,
but the anime really devolved into fairly poor artwork and a non-sensical plot.

The main shouta-con plus otenba pair never seemed to develop during the course of the anime for me, so the love story was a bit flat.

Perhaps the manga is better, I dont know.

Rin-Sama agrees with you. Onizuka-GTO agrees with Rin-sama. Therefore Onizuka-GTO agrees with you right? By him saying thats its not worth comparing the two isn't he saying that the quality level is so far apart, Zero doesnt stand a chance against Negima?

WTF...thats what the other two guys are saying. They are also saying that they prefer Negima OVER Zero. They also say that they think Negima is BETTER than Zero. So who is it thats confused here? Am I misreading everyone? They say they like Negima. You say you like Negima. Thus all of you are in agreement right? Blah

"Zero no Tsukaima"? More like "Ero no Tsukaima"! Am I right?
... 'kay, that's all I got.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot about Saito taking advantage of looking up girls' skirt while sitting in the classroom. Is this guy for real?

Onizuka-GTO was probably being sarcastic and twisting the phrase around. Note that Onizuka-GTO said that "Negima isn't worth comparing..." Implying that it's not worth much. Basically twisting the phrase into it's opposite.

Unless I'm completely wrong. I read it as Onizuka-GTO playfully disagreeing. Not that it matters...

Anyway, Zero good. Yes?

Not really a flame war. Just trying to clarify some peoples position on whether Negima is better than Zero and whether it matches the opinion of someone else.

Flame wars usually consist of "OMG YOU SUCK or WELL, HITLER SHARED THE SAME POINT OF VIEW" I am trying to argue a position here.

Edit: Well I was taking Onizuka-GTO literally....if only he would come and post and put my curiosity at ease.

I liked Negima manga, but gave up on the Negima anime.
Since I dont' have access to the Zero novel, I just watch the Zero anime.
Zero anime >>>>>>>> Negima anime.

That is just my humble opinion.

At first episode, Saito seems to be the submissive type - the typical Harem male whose personality is quite weak and has a lot of insecurities. I'm glad he didn't become like that in Ep02 and kicked that wiseguy's arse. As of ep03, we don't really know much about Saito, aside from he doesn't like being kicked around. Of course, Louise still kicks him around, which kinda contradicts his obvious personality.

Hmm, I'm not making sense here. In any case, I'm waiting for Episode 04. I can't get enough of Yui Horie's voice acting

He's not a guy, just a familiar, right?
Do you file sexual harassment suit for a dog that starts sniffing a girl where they shouldn't?

I like in the novel that as much as the Professors and Louise want to scold Saito for sleeping during the lectures they can't because he's a familiar. Scolding him will be accepting him as human.

No, you visit the vet and do a little operation, after which the dog loses all desire for the opposite sex. I don't see any advantages of not being a human.

A question for those who have seen the novels - why is Louise taking him to her lectures? We don't see him learning any magic, and no other familiars are there - why not let him be on his own during that time?

Mind you, just three more days until episode 04 comes out.

*pesters some translators to do the novels*

A familiar is supposed to be around, serve, and protect their master, and so on.
But primarily its because she wants him to be there.

In the first book the other familiars would attend class as well sometimes, iirc, except sylpheed who is probably too big to fit inside. and bellandy who is always off somewhere.

The way they animated it it looked like he has a normal students position, but I had imagined it as him having an extra chair right next to ruizu's
