Kino no Tabi - Animated Novel (NOT LICENSED)
On the cover of the first novel of the Kino no Tabi (Kino's Travels series), was written the following (translated of course for you):
"Kino, why do you continue travelling?" "Well, every now and then, don't you consider yourself a useless, foolish and diminuitive existence? An incredibly ugly existence? I'm not sure why, but sometimes there are times when I feel that way. But, when those times occur, I feel like I should look to other things. Like the world, or how other people live and how beautiful and wonderful they are. I guess I could think of it as my passion. I always want to know more and more about them, so to achieve that, I feel like I have to continue travelling." ---------In the form of short stories composed together, this is the story of a journey taken by the human, Kino, and the talking motorrad, Hermes. A new sensational work worthy of a Nobel Prize! We at 3D-Fansubs are proud to present you with the Prologue of the first Novel animated. Please stay tuned for Chapter 1! |

so each chapter is about 30-40 pages... that means each file for a chapter should be about 50M? oh, and it's quite cool IMO. Last edited by dreamless; 2004-03-01 at 16:29. |

As for Boogiepop? I really didn't enjoy the anime much, and novel translation (normally 200+ pages of straight japanese text) does take sometime, so if anything, it would be in the far future. |

I just found out about this animated novel, and I must say it's quite interesting. It feels like something that I would read before I sleep, on my bed. Like a bedtime story...has that tranquil and calm atmosphere about it. But it's too bad I can't read it on the comfort of my bed without hauling my monitor in the process.
EDIT: Dragosmore posted before me. Great! I can print it off and I'll have something to read before I go to sleep. |

Just in general, I've given in and begun typing up a formatted .txt (rather than the one I t/l in) for public release. It will be released with Chapter 1 and will contain the Prologue and Chapter 1. More will be added as it's continue. Since I designed it in 800 x 600 mode, I guess that would be it's best reading size?

I hope you enjoy! If you're lucky, Chapter 1 might be next week! (Direct novel translation takes some time. Hehe) |

Bummer you didn't get hooked on Boogiepop. I always felt the tone and pace between Kino and Boogiepop were similar, which is why I thought I'd throw it out as a suggestion. btw Thanks for doing this. I really look forward to reading it! |

Finally I can read the novel as I always wished since I first watched the OVA the year before last year. |
