@FlameSparkZ

I watched the first episode twice just to be sure on who are the sempai, and who are the lower ranked girls. If I've only watched the first ep, then would have given this show a low score. But it slowly became better.. oh, and I forgot to mention - also liked the battle between Nya and Eins. Nya sure is strong when she needs to be.

Oh, so this anime has a game? That's nice. Will look for it. Thanks.

It was obvious they were gonna keep the light beams, because they're playing on the joke that Saya made them.

Heh, figures

Now every time we see censor beams in anime, we can just say that it's Saya's doing

my Ange Vierge package from CDJapan has arrived.

a big fan of this anime, but had no extra money when it aired 5 years ago. Obtained items now that I have cash to spare. Satisfied with the purchase.

took some pics. Sorry, could not flatten some pages perfectly, as it would ruin the art book if I did so.

Ange Vierge cross L.I.N.Ks manga

enjoyed the manga, it has plenty of Remiel and her two friends.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Ange Vierge - Koshiki Visual Fan Book

surprised there are a lot more "Progress" girls than shown in the anime.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Ange Vierge Symphonia Book 2014

Pretty nice
I recognize all the characters there, they're in the mobile game.

From what I know cross L.I.N.Ks is supposed to take place before the anime and introduces the main characters, some of the side characters featured in the anime, and a few others who have some relation to them.

There's also the Linkage manga by the same artist, that focuses more on Mayuka and her backstory.

thanks.

do you know the names of the three girls I posted from the Koshiki Visual fan book?

oh, so that's why the anime is advertised in front of the Cross Links manga.

Linkage - saw this manga as well, it's still available up to vol 2. However, I did not buy as it feels like a harem manga, because there are guys in it. And Isekai Maou is the only harem anime / manga that I'm interested in right now.

_____________

and lastly, can you explain about the mobile game? Curious about it.

Sure, no problem

Going in the posted order:
Spoiler for Featured characters:

Regarding Linkage... yes, it's kind of like a harem manga, but not entirely.
The only males (that I know of) featured in the manga are αDrivers, which are the protagonist and his friend. They're in the same classroom as Miumi and Sofina.
The protagonist is hotheaded and doesn't think things through (like a typical male protag ) and his friend is calm, collected and plans ahead (like a typical rival )...but the protagonist often does something unexpected that throws a wrench into his plans.
Though that makes the manga sound pretty cliche, I'd say the main focus is the story. This manga was released when the Green World was added, so it's designed to flesh out the backstory of that world. Chronologically, it happens about a year prior to the anime, before Miumi became student council president.

As for the mobile game, known as Ange Vierge - Second Disciplinary Comittee Girls Battle- is where all the majority of the story is, using what the card game/manga/drama cds built for the setting and expands on it.
Although the franchise started as a trading card game, it didn't become popular like other well known card games. Also, here's a bit of trivia: the ranking system used in the anime is actually based on the rarity system used in the trading card game

To be honest, the mobile game is like most digital card games you can find online. There's some degree of strategy to it as you can mix and match colors, and customize cards with certain abilities... but it's no Shadowverse

I was about to go into detail about the mobage, but the post might get long... So I'll do it in another post, and add some screeshots

oh, so that's why Haruka is in the op of the anime.

Azusa - she is a Yuuki Aoi. They should have given her anime screentime! Although hiring Aoi for the anime would have cost them more money. On her other pics, she is so energetic and cheerful.

took another pic of her.
Spoiler:

Schatli - same as Azusa, should have got screentime. But I guess they lacked the budget to have more characters in the show.

here's another character from the fan book. :>

Spoiler:

______________________

on the Linkage.. oh, I see. Given the info you said, even more glad now did not buy. Honestly... funds are spread very thin (there's a few more things I want from Love Live Superstar, and currently saving money for those). The baka sisters are good for comic relief, but they are not the kind of characters whose backstory I'd spend money on, what made it even more unappealing is they chose to have a harem style manga. I do understand that they are trying to reach out to a wider audience with this, some readers want to have a self insert guy, and that's fine too.

hmm, willing to know more about the mobage.

Yeah. The Revolution club are a fun bunch.

Here's the other members of the Revolution club:
Spoiler for Revolution!:

It would nice if another anime was made, even if it were a short anime in slice-of-life style. It'd still be fun to watch if they showed more characters and their interactions.

That is Iria, the Goddess of Curiosity from the Red World. She's so curious about all sorts of things that she drags along anyone that is with her. But since she also brings good luck, whatever problem she causes ends in a positive way.

The members of the revolution club look interesting. The only person they don't have is someone from the red world. I think the anime could have went with a slice of life version involving Azusa, Rina, Melt, Ric, and Yui, and it would still be fun... similar to how Azur Lane had a slice of life version of their show.

ah, so she's a goddess, is that a higher rank than an angel? Well, she comes from another planet, so there's plenty of things to be curious about on Earth.

looking forward to see the screenshots.

Is the mobage still active? Sadly the card game was discontinued. I was interested in this franchise, but sadly no localization other than the anime.

Still active and last year has celebrated its 7th anniversary.
It gets new events and cards added often, and story updates every other month.

ah, so Schatii is also part of the Revolution Club?

anyway, as promised. Took some pics of the Symphonia book.

Aurora and Remiel are the only two characters I know here.

Spoiler:

hmm, looks like this is what a town in Red World looks like.

I recognize most of the characters shown, but some don't show up often

However, some are pretty popular and there are several cards of them.
Remiel for example is often voted among the most popular characters, and storywise has gotten alot of character development.
Characters that I don't know of are the two on the side of the 2nd page, the girl with the violin on the 4th page and the girl with red ribbons on the 5th page.

Btw, the girl with the sword on the 3rd page is Miumi before she became student council president.
The blonde girl with the umbrella is Rosary, a cheerful witch from the black world that has the ability to create illusions, but she only likes to show pretty illusions.

Yeah, the Red World is like a mix of rome and greece in ancient times, with gods, angels, giants, fairies, and other mystical creatures in it.

It's a shame the anime didn't do much with the other worlds other than what was shown. Each world has it's own characteristics and interesting stories to tell.
Even Seiran island where most of the story takes place, is much bigger than it appears. It's big enough to have its own city, suburbs, a shopping district, an amusement park, beach resort, camping villa and forests, and even a casino ship

Remiel has a disability, so that's a good starting point to build up a story. She's also a Yuuki Aoi. Pretty much, ouroboros infected Remiel is my favorite antagonist in the tv anime, followed closely by ouroboros infected Miumi.

Rosary.. so that's her name, she's cute with that umbrella. Would have liked to see her in the anime, but sadly they lacked the time / budget to put more characters in.

agreed, the Red World does look like ancient Greece / or Rome.
I think it's budget / pacing issue.. so we were treated to bath scenes every episode, instead of exploring the worlds or exploring more of Seiran island - anime could have been so much better if they included more world building instead of endless baths every episode. I know that it's important for girls to be clean, but we can always assume they take baths offscreen.

there's a few more pages from Symphonia book that I want to share. But there's plenty if irl issues right now that I have to deal with. Gonna share the pages after I sort out some irl stuff.

took a long time, because got busy with some irl stuffs.

here's some more pics from the Symphonia 2014 book. It has a cards section.

would like to know who are these?

Spoiler for she looks like Menma from Anohana:

Spoiler for caught my attention, because she seems nice to animals:

Spoiler for looks like someone from the black world:

Spoiler for she has many cards, feels like she's a main girl in one of the stories:

Spoiler for kawaii:

and here's a pic of the black world, it's also included in the book.

Spoiler for looks like a town?:

now, this makes me wish they explored the black world more, instead of having too many baths.

Hmm...the first three I don't know of, they're not in the mobile game. But I can at least read their names

In posted order, their names are:
Red World - Unicorn Maiden, Unicortia.
Blue World - Timid, Ikushima Toriko ...I think that's how you read her name
Black World - Mysterious Dollmaker, Julia

The other two however, I do know. They're both from the Blue world.
The first one is Kishibe Saori, she's Miumi's classmate and best friend. She doesn't like fighting, and her ability is to create a barrier to protect herself and others.

Saori appears next to Miumi for a few seconds in a promotion video from 8 years ago.
Spoiler for PV:

She's fairly popular in the game too, and there several cards of her.

Second is Amai Ichigo (a pun meaning Sweet Strawberry), she's an upperclassman (aka senpai) who is a member of the Cooking Club, and doesn't like being treated like a child

As for the background image, yes, that's from the Black World...probably Cauldron Town, where most witches live.

the power to create a barrier. Saori's power is interesting, too bad she was not showed in the anime.

surprised that Amai is a senpai. She looks like a loli.
she's the kind of character that indeed tend to get treated like a kid.

I appreciate your description on the others.

oh, and thanks for that PV, have not seen it yet. Downloaded it.

____________

I really like Konomi Suzuki's way of singing. :>

and looking at the many audience. Looks like this anime did have plenty fans in Japan!
