Yeah I just started watching this too and though Im not a huge mecha anime fan I like this for some reason (one cuz Lulu is hawt!!!) Plus even though its done by CLAMP it looks a bit different then Tsubasa and Holic.

So Britannia is supposed to be America? As if they'd be dumb enough to not only conquere a country and let the people know that an American governer is in charge from that point on, but change its name (especially to something like "Area 11") and openly look down on its citizens as an inferior race. America would at least try to get the people living in Japan to believe that they still had sovereignty.

Yeah, but England really can't be classified as the world's only super power, and the civilians seemed to match what I know of the American stereotype (cold, selfish) more than the English stereotype (except for the tea-sipping chess-playing nobles)...

BTW, it's interesting how similar was Suzaku's attack on Lelouch to Lancelot's attack on his Sutherland - exactly the same moves, but in a mecha.
Makes you think that being an "ace pilot" means "being a good martial artist" Last edited by SinsI; 2007-01-30 at 13:17. |

In other words, America became the new mainland. I'm not sure what became of Great Britain and the Isles afterwards, though.

he reminds me of light from death note. Its earie actually. The both have some special "power" that they use for their own personal gains. Though while light tries to make a "perfect" world, he is just trying to get revenge, though he would probably gladly have his own empire/dictatorship.

Also Brittania (though in the form of Britain) is actually a thinly veiled disguise for a criticism of certain aspects of the US governments policies in current events |

I don't think it matters much what Shiroth said at this point. |
