Someone tried to use the Eternal Ring to seal the Book of Darkness, and Reinforce and the Wolkenritter don't know a thing about it?

And Ancient Belka's solution to the Book of Darkness was to try sealing an even MORE POWERFUL monster inside of it?

It's the reverse actually.

Think of Examia as Reiji Maigo from Shakugan no Shana, except it's always collecting energy to fill itself because the "Infinite Linking System" aka Eternal Ring keeps draining it (probably because someone tampered with the programming).
It was later added to the Tome of the Night Sky (Spell Collecting System) to be sealed or to make use of Examia's ability to infinitely provide magic to the Tome and become a cannon with "unlimited ammo".

Except that didn't work (bad programming, lol).
Sealed inside the Tome of the Night Sky, it was unable to collect magic, so it started draining straight from the Tome's Master, unless it kept providing it with magic from other sources...becoming the Book of Darkness.

The berserk phase of BoD is, again, due to an error somewhere in its programming caused by the combination of Eternal Ring and the Tome, or tampering that was done after combining them.

...Well, that's my theory based on the information provided, and it seems plausible to me

And the revealing that Yuri was once human (have a theory on that too ) also indicates that a certain degree of immortality is possible, though it has its disadvantages (like being unable to fight its programming).

And Red Saber enjoys giving to those she love, even if the ones receiving it do not need what is given as well. Besides, Red Saber is also very open to her feelings and would declare how much she loves her master even if it is in a round about way unlike Diarche whom is uncomfortable with showing her feelings.
