Reading up on the movie a little bit, there are at the very least different endings. The one I watched ends with him returning to his mother's womb and killing himself before he was born to prevent every event that would unfold thereafter, as he came to the conclusion that without him, it would all turn out for the best. This is described as an "alternate ending" on the wikipedia article, but it was the one I saw when I first watched the movie, way back when it was fairly new. Watched it on a legit, rented DVD from a video store.
Maybe this is related to the fortune-teller, I don't know if the scene she is in is in every version of the movie. The scene, as I remember it, is him and his mother, or at least a female figure, visiting a fortune-teller. She yells at him, telling him that he was never meant to be, that he has no soul and some other similar lines. It's a very explicit scene in a movie that otherwise felt downplayed and fairly subtle, and if you've seen a version without it; you're better off.

Regardless, I would advise you never to see any of the sequels.

Did NOT see that. DID NOT see anything that broken. And I heard the sequels had nothing to do with the original and were just horrible, so I avoided them.

If you look at the wiki page, you'll see that this is one of the alternate endings specific to the dvd.

As for myself, I've only watched the original version.

At the end both are adult an pass each other in a busy street, he looks back and goes on.

his mother had claimed to have 3 failed labours, i.e. all of his siblings had lived their lives and had come to the same conclusion that they were never meant to be.

And yes, 2 was worse than 1, and 3 was just horrible.

Just watched Kung-Fu panda 2 with the wife was so good, funny,amusing and great story.(Sad in some parts) Really worth to get on DvD.
Then I watched the last Harry Potter film which was urgghhhhh. I didn't like it at all really, and I usually like the films, but maybe because this is the end of the epic fantasy and that's why I don't like it I don't know.
Now I am waiting for the inbetweeners to come out on DvD

Saw half of The Dark Knight last night with a friend... which it makes it my fourth time this month seeing that movie, which adds up to 7 in total

Also, someone needs to police their brass in the opening and ending sequences.

In Time is an example of a movie with a great idea marred by terrible execution.

The premise of work is that people have been genetically engineered to stop aging at age 25, in which their heart will stop beating and ultimately result in death. The only way to subvert this is to get more time, but the problem is that time has become the global currency. Some people can quip about choosing your money or your life; in this movie, your money is your life.

As the movie starts out, Will Salas has just enough time to live day-to-day, and consequently has to support his mother Rachel. One day, he's given a century worth of time from a man who simply wishes to die, while his mother runs out of time before he can transfer it to her. Saddened by her death, he decides to take revenge on the people who abuse the system for their benefit.

That's about as coherent as the narrative gets.

Will wants to get revenge, but they never exactly state how he plans to get vengeance (either that or they mention it so quickly you'd have to rewind. Too bad you can't rewind in theaters). He and Silvia fall in love, but the progression from strangers to an item has about as much development as a flat chest. Raymond Leon's motivation for being a Timekeeper starts out as pretentious nonsense, then becomes something that only raises more questions. Another antagonist is also introduced who's basically the director's attempt at saying that he knows how to foreshadow. Whoop-de-doo.

Unfortunately, that single moment of competent direction actually makes the wreck of the rest of the movie stand out. Why exactly is Will enjoying the luxuries he apparently despises? Why exactly was the system introduced if too many people living for too long has the potential to disrupt it? How did Leon, a freaking Timekeeper, lose track of his clock and timed out? The only reason I couldn't question anything is because every second something resembling an action scene was happening.

I say resembling, because quite frankly the action was thoroughly underwhelming. Some people might defend this by saying the film is more intellectual than thrilling, which is true, but the various chases and such are hardly a mental exercise and when the most exciting thing to happen is Will and Silvia driving a truck into a building, one can't help but wonder if the thrills were included because hey, action scenes are cool.

It would have been fine as mere popcorn entertainment, except this movie is apparently supposed to be taken seriously. Except, when you take this movie seriously, one too many flaws make their way to the surface. The only good thing about this movie is the concept, but unfortunately originality only goes so far. Still, it is engaging in a very weird sense, but when you look back on it you'll wonder how much time you just wasted watching this; which is funny, because one of the main themes of this movie is to use your time wisely. Well I sure as Hell wasted my time on this, but at least I snuck into the theater, hence I didn't waste any money.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to check out what McDonald's has on the Minute Menu.

Shawshank redeption is a great movie! I also read the book and it's really amazing, it's called Rita Hayworh and the Shawshank Redemption.

If you haven't seen the green mile I strongly recommend it, Same Director, same writer (stephen King), and it also takes place inside a jail hehehe.

Your Highness - This isn't anything great expect when it comes to making you laugh, which is exactly the whole point of the movie.
Sure it's humor is def an acquired taste but it's just so stupidly silly it's just too much fun.
Oh and Natlie Portman has quite a awesome little scene at one point!

American Psycho (2000)! I could've done with a bit less sex but hey, I did watch the unrated version for some reason... but I really liked it! I particularly thought the ending was excellent. Oh, and Christian Bale was amazing as always... awesome movie, all in all
