Why is it unlikely anyway?
We know in Episode 4 that

Spoiler for second part:

Kyrie was basically freewheeling, not paying much attention to the whole deal with the sumadera family.
Even so, her family was persistent into making her their successor.

That certainly doesn't prevent Kyrie to help Rudolf in his business: both aren't mutually exclusive.

A couple of theories based on the information we know from Ange's scenario in ep 4(beyond WH patch)

Spoiler for ep4 past WH patch:

We know that Kyrie was being groomed to be the next head of the Sumadera family. Therefore Kyrie was not freewheeling, she had her whole life planned out and even had a fiance picked out for her. Kasumi confirms that she was the freewheeling one when Kyrie was stuck training. So she meets Rudolph during this time period and has his child. She breaks up with her fiance who then marries her sister.

2 ways she could have met Rudolph. She was either working in Sumadera-controlled interests as training and met Rudolph through business, or she met him through some social event. Either way, I think that she probably wouldn't have been working with Rudolph before that. After all, heirs-apparent normally go work in places closely related to their own family as training...

We might come to the conclusion that she was working with Rudolph before that, but that's only cos Battler says that she's been his partner as long as he can remember. Of course it's as long as he can remember! His conception was the event that led to her leaving Sumadera for Rudolph!

How does this relate to the translation project again? Perhaps it's wise to move all the previous posts to the Episode 4 thread just in case.

This is my own personal belief, but I'd suggest re-reading parts 1-9 as well~
When I first read the story, I had some serious misgivings about it, but the second play through, especially in those first chapters, really cleared things up
