So first there was Trick Tower from exam phase 3. Trick Tower reminds me of:
1) Countless towers in Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. All of them are large, complicated, and filled with traps. However, there isn't a situation in the game where the hero has to go from the top to the bottom.
2) The tower in Azure Dreams (PSX). It's huge and 40 floors tall, and it's filled with monsters and traps. The goal is to reach the top of the tower (not easily done).

Now we have Heaven's Tower. This reminds me of Battle Tower from Tales of Graces F. Each floor has monsters for a single character to fight. You have to clear each floor to reach the next higher one. I believe this will be the scenario for Heaven's Tower but I don't really know (as I have not read the manga).

Does anyone here know when the Hunter x Hunter (2011) anime will probably cover the end of the Heaven's Arena arc, based on how many episodes the previous arcs covered?

(I was thinking like somewhere in between Episodes 35-40?

Think MUCH less compared to the original. Like half...or even less.

What the hell do you expect them to show in 40 episodes?!

Even original didn't take that long!
Heck! 40 episodes is more than a half of old series!

Or did you mean that the arc will end at the episode 35-40?

EDIT: In old series it took 8 episodes so here it probably will take around 4. So the arc will most likely finish somewhere on episode 30, maximum 32.

Well, around this arc is when the 1999 series started to fix its pacing issues. It averaged around 2 chapters an episode, whereas past episodes mostly averaged around 1. So the Heavens Arena arc will probably be around the same length.

I really want to watch the "genei ryodan" arc, because it's the only arc I loved in Hunter x Hunter. Others are just "ok"/bad for me.
I hope the genei ryodan 2012 will be as good as the previous anime of HxH. That part was so cool!

Really? I was bored with that arc the most. Especially because of how plain the fights were for a tournament arc.

My favorite is Genei ryodan arc
Finished it not so long ago in old series. Hope new series will make it entertaining too.
My love for Kurapika rose a lot there, the most entertaining character for me.

About this week's episode, am I the only one chuckling at Heart-sama appearing in it?

This was a great episode. While the first arc used Pokemon as an inspirational foundation, this newest arc is more Dragonball-esque. It's reminiscent of the Tenka'ichi Budokai tournament. Gon's opening "push" move especially--that's a direct homage to Goku (in action, anyways--HxH makes it look like a more serious maneuver. Pay attention to how the violence looks in this series). And the Goten / Trunks vibe is definitely supposed to be there.

However, as you may have realized, an oddity pertaining to Gon appeared in this episode. An inkling. During his first match, when Gon first pushes his opponent out of the ring, we get this interesting curiosity: Gon looks down at his hand and contemplates his newfound strength. "Was I always this strong before?" It's something new to him. He is in awe of how much his strength has increased. He stares and his mouth contorts into a sort of slight smile in that moment of shock. Gon somewhat likes it. If you remember, he was incredibly humiliated by being forced to confront his weakness in the Fourth Phase against Hisoka. Despite all he suffered throughout the Hunter Exam and despite being a child, Gon only cries when he's insecure about his own strength. Really pay attention to any mention of power and how it pertains to Gon Freecss in this arc.

Canon.

I forgot about one more moment--after Killua decides that they're going to the top floor of Heavens Arena, Gon has an interesting thought.

"Actually, that was my intent from the beginning."

Money wasn't the main issue for Gon. Seemingly, it's the act of fighting itself that's more important to him than anything else. Training to get stronger. But for what purpose and why?

Like how strong Gon got without him knowing. So only a push for him and chop for Killua until they reach the top. Interesting that Zushi's technique reminded him of Illumi. Was that Hisoka in the preview?

Heavens Arena, here they go!
Those two always seem to pick up new friends along the way.
Zushi seems pretty strong and has serious potential, but Kill is just amazing.
So Killua is very determined to get back at his brother..

The new OP is pure laziness. Just a b-side version of the same song and they didn't even bother to change most of the scenes. Fortunately the ED is great and made up for it.

Episode 27 has a great feeling to it. I always enjoy tournament style fighting and excited about the dual training and development.

The OP filled me with enticement, when I saw the Spider's! Things are getting serious soon!

ED showed all the spider members and Hisoka, seeing how the boss is at the end, makes me wonder about his strength vs. Hisoka
