Naw, third one will be a wacky live action version (Yellow Submarine, but since that was animated, and K-On is animated, live action weirdness) where the girls go to some exotic fantasy/sci-fi locations. Or really trip out on acid.
Fourth film would be a nearly pointless trip around the Bullet Train route while tripping on acid with a huge cast of weird people (Magical Mystery Tour).

Nice to see the girls back, I'm happy to hear their voices once again.
Azuza trying to say Machu Picchu was funny. I've been there once and it was pretty amazing, the trip to the ruins is kinda long but if you go in a group you'll have a good time. However they will most likely go to the US, and if they do I hope they come to Houston (even though theres nothing to do here ) |

Once again I realize that it's not until I go so long without watching some of this series that I truly miss it. K-ON really is one of the (if not the single) best slice-of-life series ever made. For an OVA episode it had all the feel of a regular broadcast ep, complete with Mio taunting, Mugivision™, and Yui's sublime "wisdom" regarding the group's future together.
I'm siding with those predicting the movie to be the trip, btw, though I'll go a step further and predict the impromptu performance alluded to will actually happen as well. 9/10 episode for me. And now I think, since current anime series are on indefinite hold due to crisis coverage, I will prepare a full re-watch of K-ON. I could use a smile or two these days, and I can think of no series better to do the job.

Though I must ask, what is a 'graduation retreat'? I tried looking it up, but can't find anything helpful. Plus, some sources suggest it's a mandatory thing, while this episode doesn't really makes it seem as such.

Onto the episode. It's been a while since I heard those voices I started smiling as soon as the episode started. I've missed it so much. It might just be me but I thought the funny was cranked up a little. If it's just me then these drugs are doing something and I should watch the first and second series again. Most of Yui's antics with her English, charades and male Ui fantasy. Azusa not being able to say Machu Pichu. I just loved every minute of the episode even though it was centred around something so mundane: getting a passport. Anyone else think it was hilarious how Mugi looked totally into the role play when she was attacking Azusa from behind? Her face made me laugh loud. |

This episode made me realize I miss the series terribly.
The foreign language attempts were pretty spot on funny. It did seem like I got two episodes worth of funny in one episode but I'm not complaining. Azusa's appraising glares at the Four ran amuck with all the nonsense. Lots of loving care in the artwork... some great dialog and line delivery.
