Then you should be happy to know that the male protagonist is neither wussy nor useless. In fact most of them are badass like their female counterparts despite the fact their the backup.

In terms of the protag... I honestly don't remember anything good so far (ch34) that he has done other than butt in on the girls' fights (I shouldn't really point out his ability, which is something every guy does in that series, which they are really taking their sweet time to write on about why he's so special). I'd like to point out that the other male support members have done a much better job of actually really making their female owners even better. But then maybe that's just me. Me not being surprised that, should this series be 12 eps, like it screams to be, I really wouldn't be surprised if the male protag just stands around not moving his girl forward in both story and character development, seeing as how judging by the scans so far they chose the (IMO) silly part (in terms of story) of the manga to animate.

I had always thought each year needs it "fighting girls" fixx, and looks like Freezing will fall into that hole

I hope that Freezing will be aired uncensored on AT-X. The DVD/BD volumes will includes specials to be as ecchi as the TV series.
